She was the daughter of the late Paul Kikwai and Eunice Kikwai of Sitian, Kerichb. She was the daughter in law to Mr. Hannington & Mrs Emily Sokonoi. She was a sister of Beatrice, Anthony and Ken. She was an In-law to Teddy, Taffy, Faith, Prof Adam Chepkwony, Shiela and Confort. She was an Aunty to Chelang’at, Chemutai, Kipkurui, Kipruto, Valarie, Joseph, Victor, Cliff, Valentino, Lionel, Precious and Harriet. Until her untimely demise she was the Youth Pastor at Living Word AGC Donholm Nairobi, as well as the Nairobi Region Church Council Youth Director.

Professor Mwega worked as a Professor of Economics at the University of Nairobi. Son of the late Harun Mwega Karoki and Rachel Wanjiru Mwega; Son-in-law of the late Vincent Muchai and Teresia Wanjiku. Beloved husband of Mercy Wanjiru Mwaura and loving father of Anne Wanjiru Mwaura, Stephen Mwega Mwaura and Vincent Muchai Mwaura.

Brother of the late Veronica Njeri Kirima, Samuel Karoki Mwega, Joseph Wangai, the late Agnes Wanjiku Maina, Anastasia Gatimu, Stephen Thiong’o, John Kihiko, the late Anne Njeri, the late Samuel Karoki, Stephen Gitahi, Susan Nyambura, Ruth Wanja, Joseph Wangai and Loise Wanjiru.
