It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden demise of Anthony Munene Gikunda through a tragic road accident along Thika Superhighway.

Beloved son of Patrick Gikunda Kimathi and Jackline Mueni Gikunda. Humbled brother of Lynnet Gakii, Trevor Kitonga and Bellamy Mwenda. Grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Geoffrey Kimathi Mwendwa and the late Rebecca Ndinda, Cousin of Geoffrey Mutembei, Edna, Jacob, Redempta, Rachel, Rebecca, Telvin, Tarrel, Tarrian. Nephew of John, Julius, Mary, Kenneth, Vinolia, Beatrice, Gladys, Alice and many more grandparents, uncles, aunts and cousins.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his father’s house in Kasarani, Meru County home, and Holy Family Basilica – Cardinal Otunga Annex, Mother Teresa Hall, 7th floor.

The cortege leaves KU mortuary on Friday 3rd March 2017 at 6:00am for the burial and funeral service at his father’s home, Meru County, Imenti South, Ukuu location, Buri ya King’ori, sub-location, Kirumene village.

It is with deep sorrow we announce the death of Mary Wamuyu Magothe of Karatina town. Daughter of the late Weru Mwaniki and Maria Wairimu Weru. Wife of Magothe Macharia of Karatina town. Mother of Charles Weru of Karatina Beauty Centre and Rose Weru of Rowetex Nairobi. Grandmother of Wilfred Wambugu Weru(USA), Ann Wamuyu Weru (USIU), Alex Magothe Weru (JKUAT) and Phylis Muthoni Weru of Bishop Gatimu Ngandu Girls’ High School. Great grandmother of Cliff Weru. The cortege will leave Jamii Hospital Mortuary on Friday 3rd March 2017 at 9am for funeral mass at Karatina Catholic Church at 11am and there after burial ceremony at her home near Karogoto Shopping Centre, Kirimukuyu, Mathira, Nyeri county.

Beloved wife of Mr.Videsio Gikuhi. Mother of the late Joseph lrungu, the late Richard Mwariri, the late Erastus Gathogo, Rosemary Kirangari, Isabel Kabura (Thika Level 5 Hospital), Lucy Wanjiku and Phyllis Wanjiru. Mother-in-law of Patrick Mwangi Wanjohi Kariokor Market, Alice Wanjiru Mwariri and Nancy Wambui Gathogo Deputy Head teacher Kiumba Primary School. Grandmother of many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at Kangema House – Nairobi, Ngoingwa Estate – Thika and at her home in Kiumba Village from 6.00pm. The cortege will leave Muriranjas Hospital Mortuary on Friday 3rd March 2017 at 8.00am. Requiem Mass will take place at 10am at her husband’s farm in Kiumba Village and thereafter she will be laid to rest at the same place.

It is with profound sadness and great pain that we announce the untimely death of His Excellency Governor Nderitu Gachagua, on Friday, 24th February, 2017, while undergoing treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, United Kingdom. He was the respected Governor of Nyeri County. Beloved son of the late Mzee Nahashon Gachagua Reriani & Martha Kirigo Gachagua. Husband of Margaret Nyokabi & Margaret Waithiegeni. Father of Susan Kirigo Maina & Joe Maina, Mercy Wanjira Early & William Timothy Early, Ken Gachagua and Jason Kariuki. Grandfather of Sean Maina and Judah Ikeno Robert Early. His body will be leaving London on Wednesday the 1st of March 2017 at 5:35 pm aboard Kenya Airways, arriving on Thursday the 2nd of March 2017 at 5am from where it will be taken to Lee Funeral Home.

Friends and supporters who may want to meet his body are welcome to do so at the Lee Funeral home at 6:30 am. The funeral service will take place on Monday the 6th of March, 2017 at his home in Hiriga village, Ngorano location, Mathira West sub-county, Nyeri county. It will begin promptly at 11am and all mourners are requested to be seated by 10am.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral home at 7am.
