Until her death, she remained a loving mother of her children; Jane Wanjiru Kamau, Assumpta Wambui Maina, Bibiana Wanjiku Kamau, Gorret Muthoni, Vincent Kieya, the late Regina Wairimu, Daniel Ng’ang’a and Catherine Njeri.

Daughter-in-law of the late Jackson Kieya Gathu and Elizabeth Wambui. Sister-in-law of Joseph Ndung’u, late Christopher Thairo, Jane Wairimu Njoroge, Sophia Wanjiku Ndung’u, Florence Njambi Ng’ang’a, David Giathi, Anna Mweru and Professor Kieyah. Also a sister of Theresia W. Wangigi and late Maryann Muthoni, Aloise Kimani, Gerald Gichuru, Darius Wamagwa and Joseph Maim. She is survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a woman of great faith who devotedly served her church, St Francis of Asisi Catholic Church Limuru.
