It is with great sorrow but acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Stella Mkanjala Washalla Bakata on November 24 2016.
Daughter of the late Davies Washala and Gertrude Manga of Kariakoo, Voi. Wife of Mathew Bakata Umba (Juba, South Sudan). Sister of Josephine Bandika (Kinango), Gladys Mwanake, Charity Ndegwa (Texas,US), Elizabeth Washala, Sammy Washala, Caroline Washala (London), Lilian Kambu (Msa), Norman Mwandembe and Kenneth Kaunda (Total Kenya, Kisumu).
Mother of Tabitha Manyasi (Kwale County), Sara Bakata (Nation Media Group), Timothy Matata (Doshi), June Kodjo, Paul Umba (Barclays, Mombasa), Getrude Manga and Diana Kanya.Mother-law of Pauline and Grace.Grandmother of Stella Sowa,Wilson Unda, Edward Dzimba and Stella Umba.
Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kisimani (freretown) and at Jocham Hospital. The Funeral Mass will be at the Mbungoni Catholic Church (Bombolulu, Mombasa) on Dec 2nd at 4pm.The burial will be on Saturday Dec 3rd at 10am at the Mbaraki Catholic cemetery in Mombasa.

Jairo Khwaka Omende

Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company Limited regret to announce the death of Jairo Khwaka Omende which occurred on Tuesday 22nd November, 2016.
He hails from Eshibinga Village, Khwisero Division, Khwisero Sub-County, Kakamega County. Son of the late Joseph Omende and Phanice Khabeko.
Husband to Anisa Abdallah, Father of Zuhura Ahmed, Rukia Jairo, Rose Eshikumo, Ahmed Jairo and Leunorah Achieng. Brother of Milka, Ezekiel, Gladys, Samson, Judy and Everlyne Omende.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his house Landhies Road Estate near Kenya Meat Commission. The Cortege will leave Chiromo Funeral Home on Thursday 1st December, 2016 at 8am for an overnight stay in his house, Ladhies Road Estate and thereafter the Cortege leaves for his rural home on Friday 2nd December, 2016 for Funeral Service and interment on Saturday 3rd December, 2016 in Eshibinga Village, Khwisero Division, Khwisero Sub-County, Kakamega County.

George Sikwata Yahuru

1936 – 2016

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on George Sikwata Yahuru which occurred on 20th November 2016 at Webuye District Hospital.
Beloved husband of Jones, Violet and Jane. He is survived with many children, grandchildren and one great grandchild. Brother to Elinah, Joseph and Judith among others.
The cortege leaves Webuye District Mortuary on Wednesday 30th November 2016 for an overnight stay at his home in Kitale, Sibanga Location, then to his final resting place at Chwele, Misiri village on Thursday 1st December 2016.
The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday 3rd December at 10am.

Husband of Jane and Frida. Son in law of the late Mzee Odanga and the late Mzee Shimwenyi. Father o Susan, Moureen, Kevin, Carol and Sammy. Brother of Richard, Seth, and Alex.
Brother in law of Judy, Josephine, Milka and Paul. Father in law of Walter and Mary.
Co-parent in law of Bishop Kalu of Mombasa Diocese and Mwalimu Chebukati of Bungoma.

The cortege leaves Chiromo Funeral Home on Thursday 1st December 2016 for service at Our Lady of Visitation Catholic Church Makadara at 10am and burial is scheduled for Saturday 3rd December 2016 at Mautuma location, Mukuyu village, Kakamega.

Mum,
Days have turned into months, months turned into years which have now turned into 19 years today since you painfully departed from us.
Its painful to lose a mother you didnt not get time to say goodbye to the family. It was Gods wish but we believe we will one day meet again. Secret tears still flow when we think of you. Living without you is almost impossible. In life we loved you, in death we do the same. We thank God 4 letting us be part of your life. We thank God for your life we know you are with us and keenly watching over us. Your departure changed our lives completely and made us love and respect women and mothers.

Husband of Cathrene Wanjiru Muriithi (Kareko). Father of Allan Mutugi (Bonanza School Embu).
Son of James Njiru Cuvana and Felister Riimi, Son-in-law of Joseph Kareko Gechoho and the late Gladys Gathon Kareko.
Brother of Rosa, Ann Wangari (USA) Isaiah Joshua, and Stephen. Brother-in-Law of Githutha (USA), Benjamin, Poiline, Evelyn, Lydia, Andrew Kareko, Wambugu Harrison Kareko, Mercy Irene, Njeri Julius and Githinji.
Uncle of Abigael, Mugo, Makena (all USA), Javan, lvy, Grace, Gladys, Kareko, Bridgit Derrick etc and cousins of many.

It is with deep sorrow and profound shock that we announce the promotion to glory of our loving daughter Agnes Namusia Masinde, who until her death was a teacher at St Angela Academy, Webuye.
Loving daughter of Alphonce Masinde Libuyi (Mwoyo Mulayi) and Cordula Nawire Masinde.
Sister of Rael, Gaudencia (Deputy Principal Mugai Secondary School), John, Phelistus (Deputy Principal AIC Shartuka Girls), Jacinta (C.O Webuye Hospital), Bonface (Advocate Nairobi), Anthony, Henry (Nurse in Charge, Imbiakalo Health Centre), Augustine (Senior Programme Officer, EGAF, based in Homa Bay) and Victor (Advocate, Nairobi).

The cortege leaves Kimbilio Funeral Home Kipkaren on Thursday 24th November 2016 at 9am followed by a requiem mass at Holy Trinity Catholic Church Webuye at 11am.
Thereafter the body will be transported to Samitsi Area in Malava Sub county of Kakamega.
Burial will take place in their Chombeli home on Saturday 26th November 2016.

Paul Kamau Kaara

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved Joseph Kaara Karnau at Nakuru.
He was son of the late Paul Kamau Kaara and the late Mary Wambui. Brother of Kamunya, Sophie, Karumba, the late Wanjiru, the late Maingi, the late Nyambura and Wangeci.
Husband of Lydia Wanjiku Kaara, Loving Father of Kamau Njihia, Kamunya, Wambui, the late Njoroge, Grace, Sophia, Karumba, Jesse, Wamaitha and Maingi. Father-in-law of Jill, Anne, Njorohio, Torn,Tony and Eva. Grandfather of many.

Wife of Benjamin Mokua Moturi (Texas). Daughter  of Meriserah Moraa and the late Clement Aboki Otwori o f Miriri Nyamira County.
 
Mother of Naomi, Abel (Canada), Ruth and Loice (USA).
 
Grandmother of Brian, Angela, Ivy, Michelle, Tristan and Teagan, Sister of late Jerusha, Agnes, Rebecca, Milkah, Tabitha, Samuel, Timothy, Gideon, Moses, Thomas and Isaac. Korera of Jane and Charles Nyakeri (Kisii County). Sister of the late Grace, Esther, David and Beatrice. Mother in law of Sophia.

Apollo Nyinge Kithakwa

1946 – 2016

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Apollo Nyinge Kithakwa which occurred on November 12 2016. He is formally worked for the Kenya Navy, Southern Lines and KPA.
After retiring from KPA he joined Bandari College Mombasa as a lecturer. Son of the late Abednego Kithakwa and late Betha Wangari Kithakwa.
Husband of Cecil Wanjiku Nyinge. Brother of Ruth Kanando, Dorcas Muchiri, Shaleti Kaninii, Stanley Ngasa, Lilian Nzuki, Alice Kinyua, Rahab Wangithi, Miriam Ngona and Samson Kariguri.
Father of Elizabeth Wangari, Agnes Muthoni, Hannington Kithakwa, Benard Kaniu and late Doris Wandia.
Bother-in-law of Gabriel Mwangi, Angelina Wanjiru, Angelica Wairimu, John Kinyua (IEBC) Julius Gatimu, Boniface Githae and Stephen Muchiri, Philda Ngasa and Doris Kithakwa (Obote).
Grandfather of Meldoy Khavere, Caren Mmbone and Handel Jiveri, Uncle and great grandfather of many.
