Pastor Peter Gichuhi Mbugua

1961 – 2026

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Pastor Peter Gichuhi Mbugua of the Technical University of Kenya (TUK), which occurred on Tuesday, 31st March 2026 after a short illness at Nairobi West Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Susan Wangui (formerly of KTTC).

Son of the late Eliud Mbugua and the late Rachel Nduta.

Devoted father of Dorcas Kagonia (Rosslyn Academy), Jean Nduta (Yellow Wings), and Rose Wanjiru (Apex Systems), and father-in-law of Dennis Kagonia.

He was brother of the late John Kamau, the late Ann Njeri, Charles Kiarie (Nakuru), and the late Jane Wanjeri; brother-in-law of Jane Nyambura (Nyahururu) and Dorcas Nyokabi (Nakuru) and son-in-law of the late Dan Macharia and Dorcas Njeri Macharia.

He was an uncle of many and grandfather of Amani, Njeri, Elsie and Michael.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Marurui and in Munyeki, Olkalau at 6:00pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Teaching & Referral Funeral Home on Friday, 10th April 2026 at 6:00am for burial on the same day in Munyeki, Olkalau, Nyandarua County.
