PC Gilbert Makori Bwambura Mokaya

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of PC Gilbert Makori Bwambura Mokaya of Kinangop Police Station through a tragic road accident at Chuma area North Kinangop on 15th June 2025.

Son of Bwambura Mokaya Omboto and the late Birita Obonyo Mokaya.

Husband of Stella Bonareri Nyamweya, father of Brian (Glee hotel, Nbi), Ephy (Excellence school) and Wayne (Hospital Hill High School).

Brother of Ester, Billiah, Onyando (Army) RTD, Milkah, Rudiah, Dorica Bosibori Mokaya (USA), Josephine (DCI HQRS), Obegi (Ogembo police), Anunda (DCI Kisii), Mogaka (Mombasa police), Kwamboka and others.

Brother in law of Joshua (USA), Beatrice (Kalro Kisii), Lilian (Nyamagwa Sec), Alice (Teleposta) & Everlyne. Uncle of Zipporah, Emmah (Nakuru Police), Naftali (Kitale Polytechnic), Dr Doreen (Canada), Kevin, Fridah Obonyo Mongare (USA), Birita, Brian, Bravih and others.

Funeral arrangements are ongoing.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home, Nbi on 3rd July 2025 for Kisii County for a night vigil. He will be laid to rest on 4th July 2025 at his home in Bongonta Village, lkorongo, Masaba South Sub-county.
