Rachel Nyambura Gaku

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Rachel Nyambura Gaku on 1st September 2017.

Daughter of the late William Mbugua and the late Edith Wanjiru; and daughter-in-law of the late Stephen Karunju and Lydiah Wanjiku. Loving wife of Peter Gaku. Mother of Eric Karunju, Andrew Mbugua, Stephanie Wanjiku, Ivy Wanjiru and Erika Wanjiru. Sister of Margaret Wanjira, Moses Njuguna, the late Peter Githuku, Mary Wanjiku, the late John Kimani, the late Samuel Ndegwa, Naomi Njoki and Jane Wairimu. Sister-in-law of Mary Njoki, Nancy Besha, Hannah Wairimu, John Wabira, Martha Wambui, Jonathan Njoroge and Mary Nyambura. Grandmother of Luke, Micheal, Jason, Imani, Ethan and Kaylyn. Auntie, friend and colleague to many.

Friends and family are meeting at Amber House (Right opposite Tuskys bus station), Home and Away Hotel, Naivasha Hail at 5:30PM and at their home in Gatitu village.

A memorial service will be held on 6th September 2017 at ICC West Campus at 2PM. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on 8th September 2017. Funeral service and burial will take place in Murang’a, Kandara, Kiranga/Gatitu on the same day.
