It is with great sorrow that we announce the death of PCEA Rev. (Rtd.) Alphama Kanyuru Kinyua, after a long period of being unwell.
Daughter to the late Ephantus Reche and Kanyua Reche. Step-daughter to Karimi Reche. A loving wife to Mr. Festus Kinyua Muchiri. Caring mother to Kimathi & Nkatha, Ngugi & Jackline, Kathomi and Mawira & Wambui.
Sister to the late Miriti, Mate, Micheni, Ukima and Mugero. Step-sister to Nyaga, Mutembei, the late lreri, M’iti and Mwenda.
Grandmother to Shirley, Mwenda, Shabil, Kendi, Mutugi, Ryan, Shannon and Dylan.
Sister-in-law to the late Miriti & Mary, Margaret & the late Murungi, Kiruja & Kaari, Dr. Mbae & Muthoni, Mercy & Gikunda, Waiti & Kagendo, Muriuki & Kagendo, Kagendo & Mike, Mugure, Mate, Kaari, Kirimi and Murithi, among others. Rev.Alphama was a cousin, aunt and grandmother to many.
Funeral arrangements are ongoing at her home in Konyo village, Kariakomo Sub-location,Tharaka-Nithi County.
There will be a memorial service at PCEA – Evergreen Church, Runda, on Friday 8th July, 2022 at 6.00pm.
The funeral service will be held on Monday 11th July, 2022, starting at 10.00am at PCEA – lthai Church, lgwanjau Parish before burial at her home in Konyo village.

Alphama stayed with us when she came to the USA as an intern at our church. It was an honor and a joy to know her and be her friend. Our prayers and condolences for her family. 🙏

Let me take this opportunity to thank you as a family for hosting mum in the US as an intern. Its in the Us that mum studied and gained leadership experiences to come and work in Kenya, she had a well splendid career that was cut short due to a prolonged illness since 2014.
On behalf of the family we salute and celebrate you and may the almighty be with you forever.
