Rosebella Kosgei (Gogo Kapkendelo)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Rosebella Kosgei (Gogo Kapkendelo), who passed away on Sunday, 18th January 2026, after a long illness bravely borne.

She was the daughter of the late Abraham Kiptoo Chesorom and Elizabeth Soti Chesorom.

The loving wife of Kipkosgei Arap Sang (Kendelo) of Chepkanga.

She was a cherished sister of John Kiptoo (Kamokono), the late Michael Kipserem (Kimore Village), the late Richard (Tambach), Flora Chumo (Kaplogoi), the late Lily Cheruiyot (Kaptuli), and Philip Kiptoo (Tambach).

A devoted mother of William Kiplimo, Josephine Cheptoo, Teresia Tunoi, Lucia Juma, Julia Namanda, Sheila Cheruto, Stephen Kipkogei, Gladys Cherono, and Martin Kipchirchir. A mother-in-law of Christine Limo, Francis Tunoi, PS/Dr. Juma Mukhwana, Dr. Augustine Namanda, Arnold Knauf, and Carolyn Chumba. She was blessed with 25 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, with whom she shared many joyful moments.

Funeral committee meetings are ongoing in Chepkanga and Nairobi.

The cortege will leave Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Thursday, 29th January 2026 at 12.00 noon, followed by a requiem mass at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Chepkanga, at 2.00 p.m. Funeral mass and burial will take place on Friday, 30th January 2026, at her home in Lelit Farm, Chepkanga.
