Rtd Elder Samuel Kanyi Warnbugu

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Rtd Elder Samuel KanyiWambugu of Kiaguthu, Chinga location, Othaya, Nyeri which occurred on 3rd April 2026.

He was the loving husband of the late Lydia Wanjiru. Father of Peterson and Mary Wambugu, the late Gibson and Grace Tatua. Paul and Jemimah Wangome, Robert and Grace Wachira, John and Mary Maina and George and Jane Muteru. Grandfather of Shiro and Sean Wambugu, Sylvia and Alex Tatua, Ian. Eva, Levi, Camilla and Calvin Wangome, Roy, Janerosejoy and Ruby Wachira, Robin, Collins, and Connie Maina and Kevin, Jeff and Faith Muteru.

He was the son of the late Peterson Wambugu and the late Hannah Wambui Brother of Paul Wangome, Joyce Gachichio,Charles Muteru,Mary Muchiri, Ruth Waiharo, Beatrice Wanjiku (all deceased) and Major(Rtd) Solomon Muthoga.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at Paul Wangome’s residence in Thorne off the Northern bypass.

A consolation service will be held at PCEA Gateway Church at 7.00pm on Tuesday 7th April and at PCEA Kahawa West on Wednesday 8th April from 7pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta University referral funeral Home on Friday 10th April at 7.00arn for the funeral service at PCEA Kiaguthu Church at 10.00am. Burial will follow at his home in Kiaguthu, Nyeri County.
