Ruth Wanjeri Mwai

It is with humble acceptance to God’s will, we announce promotion to glory of our Matriarch, Ruth Wanjeri Mwai on Thursday June 23, 2022.

She was daughter of Mukiri wa Kaniu and Mariam Gichiru Mukiri. Beloved wife of the late David Mwai Nyori and mother to Peter & Faith Mwai. Grandmother to Ruth & Joseph Kabiru,Anne & Richard Njogu and David Mwai. a Great-grandmother to Marvel, Peter (Joshua), Ella & Allen.

Sister to Elizabeth Mumbi Mbugua, Lucy Njeri Ndung’u and the late Milkah Wangari Mburu and Mary Wanjiku Mukiri. She was a step-sister to many.

She was a sister-in-law to Naomi Wanjeri Muigai, Peter Mbugua, Jane Gathoni, Stephen Gitau, Peter Muigai, William Gichia and the late James Gitiha, Joseph Mbugua and Samuel Mungai.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her home in Githunguri, Kamwanya Village and at her son’s home in Muthithi Gardens, Njathaini Road, off Kiambu-Nairobi Road.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Training Research and Referral Hospital on Village, Githunguri. Friday July 1, 2022 at 8.00am for funeral service and burial at her Shamba in Thakwa Village, Githunguri.
