Samwel Mwenda Muthomi

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Samwel Mwenda Muthomi of Ntuuru Village (Kathanthatu), Nkubu which occurred on Thursday 15/01/2026.

He was the chief principal at Abothuguchi Boys Senior & Secondary School. Son of the late Muthomi M’rugongo and Rebecca Mucai M’Miruri.

Husband of Joyce Karimi Mwenda. Father of Morris. Kinoti Mwenda, Silvia Gakii Mwenda and Ezra Gitonga Mwenda. Father-in-law of Mercy Ncooki. Brother of Ruth Karwirwa, Hellen Kendi, Geoffrey Ndumba, Catherine Kananu, the late Joyce Gacheri, Christine Kagendo and Solomon Gatunga. Loving Grandpa of Kinya, Melvin Mureti, Munene Morris and Chloe Kawira.

Son-in-law of Mr & Mrs. Japheth M’thinji. Brother-in-law of Misheck, Stanley, Karea, the late Jennifer, Julia, Margaret and Alice.

Meetings are being held daily at his home in Kathanthatu Village and Prime Regent Hotel Nkubu from 5.00pm.

The cortege will leave Cool Breeze Funeral Home Kirachene on Friday 30/01/2026 8.00am. Funeral service will be held at Heritage Gardens Nkubu From 9.00am thereafter he will be laid to rest at his ome Kathanthatu Village.
