Wilfred Mwikonyi Mbugua (Uncle Willie)

It is with profound sadness and humble submission of God’s will that we announce the passing of Wilfred Mwikonyi Mbugua (Uncle Willie) of Tewksbury, Massachusetts, which occurred on 13th June 2025 at his Kenya home in Redhill, Limuru.

He was husband of Susan Mumbi (Karanja) and father of Benson Mbugua and Janet Wambui (all of USA).

Uncle Willie was son of the late Benson Mbugua wa Mutuma and the late Jane Wambui of Ngecha, Limuru, Kiambu County and step son of the late Beth Wambui. He was brother of the late Monica Gathoni, the late Thomas Njenga, the late Morris Kariuki, the late Lucy Gathoni Mungai, Winnie Wanjiru, Alice Wanjiru Njoroge, Richard Hinga, Stephen Mutuma (SB), the late Joel Njane, the late Mary Wanjiku, ScholasticaWariara Kihara, Susan Wanderu Mbugua, Ben Hinga (Uncle Ben), David Kahuria and Wafari Gilruth.

There will be a memorial service held at the family home in Ngecha, Limuru at 3.00pm on Sunday 22nd June 2025.

Family and friends will be meeting at the family home in Ngecha, Limuru beginning on Monday 23rd June 2025 from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
