It is with profound shock and sorrow that we announce the sudden death of our beloved Christopher Tsuma after a cardiac arrest on Saturday October 8, 2016.
He was the son of the late Brown Aleka Tsuma and Mama Rosemary Tsuma.
Chris is survived by his two sons: Roark and Thomas. He was a brother of Margaret, Gray, the late Donnah, Green, Beauttah, Faith Rose, Clive, Junior. Leah, Rebecca, Cyprian, Nicodemus, Victoria, William, Anne, Rhoda, and Idah.
Uncle, colleague and friend to many.
Chris was formerly a sports sb-editor and the Daily Nation, The Star and lastly a lecturer at the United States International University, Kenyatta University and Narok University.
Funeral arrangements/meetings are being held daily at Antonio’s (Family) from 5pm and the Holy Family Basilica, Cardinal Otunga Plaza (Friends/Colleages) at St Faustina Room 7th Floor daily from 5pm.
Burial date will be announced later.
The media fraternity is mourning the sudden death of Chris Tsuma. The veteran sports journalist, who worked at the Daily Nation for over a decade, breathed his last on Saturday at the Komarock Modern Hospital in Nairobi. He was 50.
Tsuma had been rushed to the hospital by family members after complaining of chest pains while working at the gym. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
His body was later transferred to Chiromo mortuary. At the time of his death, Tsuma was a lecturer at KU, Narok and Mount Kenya universities.
Elias Makori, who worked with Tsuma for many years, remembered him as “an upright, hard working and no-nonsense professional”.
