Died on December 8, 2015
Dearest Mum, its exactly one year since you physically left us to be with our heavenly Father. Although we feel your absence every day, we thank God for the years we had together and hope to meet again.
The family chain was broken when you left us, but memories will live forever, to us, you have not gone away, Nor have you traveled far, just entered far, just entered home, and left the gate ajar.
The loving memories of you linger, even more vibrantly as we constantly think of you and seek to emulate the example you set for us.
Receive our love and know that you shall continually be cherished by us, your children, J R Githere, Wairimu, Wangari, Wanjku, Njambi, Nioroge and Kariuki, grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
I‘m gone, “Don’t grieve over me” I followed the path God laid for me, I took God’s hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left all, I could not stay another day, to love, to laugh, to work, to golf or even jog. Things left undone must remain that way. If my parting left a void, fill it with remembered joy, a friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, or a song. Be not burdened with thoughts of sorrow. My life was full and I relished much, a loving family, good friends, good times and church. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your hearts and share with me. God wanted me and set me free.
Dearly missed by your wife Catherine, sons Mwangi, Ruitha and Kariko, brothers, sisters, family and friends.
A thanksgiving service will be held at the family’s Runda Evergreen home tomorrow Saturday 17th December 2017 at 1pm.
