It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Honourable John Keen which occurred on the 25th December 2016 at the Aga Khan Hospital, Nairobi.

He was former MP for Kajiado North and Assistant Minister in the Office of the President.

Son of the late Albert Thomas and the late Sarah Tupa from Rumuruti, Laikipia County. Husband of Gladwell Wairimu, Mary Annette Njeri, Rosemary Sanau and Jayne Wamuyu.

Loving father of Victoria, Lydia, Nicholas, Hilda, Anthony, Pamela, Eva, Dennis, Bernard, the late James, Edward, Clifford, Sindy, Somoire and Silole. Father in law of Tonya, Stephen, Sjaak, Billie and Pamela. Grandfather and great grandfather of many.

Burial arrangements are going on at his residence at Karen and Namanga.

Memorial service will be held at his Karen residence on Wednesday 28th December 2016 at 2pm.

The funeral will take place at his Osilale Ranch in Namanga, Kajiado County, on Friday 30th December 2016 from 9am.

Our dearly beloved Winnie Gakii Kathurima-Imanyara, Director Housing Finance Group Foundation, was called to glory on 23rd December 2016 after a long illness – bravely borne.

Daughter of the late Stanley Kathurima and the late Salome Kathurima.

Cherished mother of Seth and Philomena Gathoni Muriithi, Marcus Kiogora and Murunga Imanyara.

Doting grandmother of Siana Mukii Muriithi. Loving in law of Solomon and Mary Kuria family.

Sister of Tim and Margaret Kaunjuga, the late Dr. Col. (Rtd) Henry Kathurima and Sarah Kathurima, the late Geoffrey Kathurima and Seraphina Kathurima, Amb. Harry and Clara Kathurima, Dr Gitonga and Agnes Kathurima, the late Onesmus and Rose Kathurima, the late Kenneth Kathurima, the late Betty Kathurima, Willy and Doreen Kathurima, Susan and Mwenda M’Turuchiu, Martin and Giancita Kathurima, Tom and Monjie Kathurima, Kithinji and Mwendwa Kathurima, the late Mwenda Kathurima, Karimi Kathurima and Kinoti Kathurima. She was the beloved Aunty of many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Winnie on the 28th December 2016 at the Methodist Guest House – Lavington – from 4pm. The funeral service will be held on the 30th December 2016 at the Lavington United Church from 10am.

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunty, Friend and Mentor Winnie – you have fought the good fight, you have finished the race, you have kept the faith. And now the prize awaits you – the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give you on the day of His return.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Celia Goes of Kitale which occurred on Christmas Day 25th December, 2016 at the Nairobi Hospital.

Beloved wife of Effie Goes. Adored mother of Ian and Belinda and mother-in-law of Susan Muigai and Karim Pradhan. Loving Nana of Kyle Goes. Sister of Charles D’Souza, Christopher D’Souza and Tony D’Souza (Italy) and the late Angela, Joe and Andrew D’Souza. Sister-in-law of Martina, Bernadette, Susan and Laura (Italy). Sister-in-law of Gerry and Liz Goes, John and Lucy Goes, Joe and Esme Goes and Doris and Lawrence Gomes. Daughter of the late Max and Lillian D’Souza.

Celia will be fondly remembered by all her family, nieces, nephews and friends.

We thank God for the life we shared and the precious memories we will always treasure.

Viewing will take place at 9.30am at St Austin’s Parish on James Gichuru Road, Lavington. Also accessible from Rhapta Road, Westlands, on Thursday, 29th December, 2016 followed by the funeral mass at 10am. Cremation will take place thereafter at the Hindu Crematorium, Kariokor, Nairobi.

Step mother of John Njeru, Jesinta Mati, Alfred Ngari, the late Patrick Nyaga, Beatrice Muthoni Kithu, Jeniffer Wanjira Kariuki, Vejeslous Njiru, Felix Murengi, Magdaline Nginya Nyaga, the late Robert Nyaga, Beatrice Wanjira Njeru, Consolata Nditi Nyaga, Salesio Njagi, Anisia Njuri Kariuki, Josphat Mbogo, Thomas Njeru, Elija Waweru, Benjamin Njagi, Charity Njoki and Bernard Kariuki. Co-Wife of Rahab Manji, the late Jane Ciebeti and Bancy Marigu. Sister of Jemima Mbuya, Janet Nginya Tabitha Mururi and Damaris Njuri. Sister-in-law of the late Elija Nyaga Murianga and the late Priscila Wanjira Jason. She has left 31 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her Rupingazi home in Gachuriri village Mbeere South, Embu County from 5pm.

The cortege leaves Gakwegori Funeral Home on Thursday 29th December 2016, at 9.30am for funeral services at ACK Emmanuel Yoder Church and thereafter burial at her home.

There will be a fundraiser on the 29th December 2016 at All Saints Cathedral from 5pm to help meet the funeral expenses. There will be a church service at Central SDA Church (Maxwell), Milimani Road, Nairobi, on the 3rd January 2017 from 9.30am.

The cortege leaves the Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi, on 5th January 2017 at 6.30am for their home in Kamuma Sub location, Rawinji Oyugis, Homa Bay County.

The burial will be held on Friday, 6th January 2017.

The cortege leaves Jamii Nursing Home on Thursday 22nd December 2016 at 8am for funeral service and burial at her home in Kanjuri Village Magutu Location, Nyeri County at 11.00am. Friends and relatives are meeting at Cardinal Otunga Annex Nairobi and at her home in Kanjuri village for prayers and burial arrangements at 5pm.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Maili Saba and at Kimathi Estate from 5pm. The cortege leaves Nakuru War Memorial Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 22nd December 2016 at 8.30 am for funeral Mass at St. Monica Catholic Church in Section 58.

Burial will take place thereafter at Nakuru South Cemetery.
