Father of Beryl Achieng of Iregi TTC, Francis Sande of Kaimosi Friends College, Martin Muyitsi, Alex Nanjira and Elwinron Sande. Brother of Fanice Maloba Amalemba (Deputy. OCPD Kapsabet), Sammy Sande (MOH Vihiga), Andrew Sande (Education Siaya), Moses Sande (A G Kakamega), Daniel Sande (Canada), Hamza Benson Sande (Bensono Institute Nairobi), Jack Sande (Khwisero Girls), Sergeant Wycliffee Sande (Kenya Army), Selfa Nasengo (MOH), Alice Musa (MOH) Kakamega), Dories Sande, Noel Sande, Dr. Ann Sande Echesa (Chuka University), and the late Emily Etale. The requiem mass will be held at Kenyatta University Funeral Home Chapel on Friday 6th January, 2017 at 9am. He will be laid to rest on Sunday 8th January, 2017 in Ebuchero Emu’gweso, Kisa Central, Khwisero Sub-county, Kakamega County.

Death has occurred to Charles Wahatha Kamau on 1st January 2017 through a road accident. Son to Samuel Kamau Hiram and Nancy Wambui Kamau of Zimmerman (Mirema).

Brother of Joy Wanjugu, Hiram Mwangi and Lilian Wambui Kamau. Grandson of the late Hiram Mwangi Nyaga, and Lilian Wambui Hiram of Kangari Location, Mairi Sub-location, Gatitu village, Murang’a County and Charles Wahatha Kimaru and Teresah Wanjugu Wahatha of Muricho village, Ndaragwa Sub-County. Nephew of Eunice Wanditi, Ann Wanjiku, Julius Githuku, Moses Gikonyo and Stephen Gachoka. Cousin of Hiram Githuku, Hiram Gikonyo, Hiram Gachoka and Pauline Wanditi among others.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at their home in Mirema Zimmerman, Blue Springs Hotel and Gatitu Village for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves KU Mortuary at 7am on Friday the 6th January, 2017 to his father’s farm for burial and service at Gatitu village, Mairi Sub-location, Kangari Location, Murang’a County.

David Wang’ara Mbatia

It is with humble acceptance of Gods will that we announce the passing on of David Wang’ara Mbatia. He was a teacher at Mahiga Girls’ Secondary School Othaya in Nyeri County.

Son of Mr. & Mrs. Arthur Mbatia Wainaina. Husband of Nancy Wangui a teacher at Kiria-ini Girls’ Secondary School. Father of baby Ayden Mbatia, Brother of Mercy Wairimu, John Wainaina, Purity Wangeci and Virginia Wangari, all of Kamaguta Village, Gaturi Sub location, Kiria Location in Murang’a County.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his Father’s home Kamaguta Village daily for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Murang’a County Hospital, Mortuary on Saturday 7th January 2017 at 8am for a funeral service to be held at Kiguru Primary School starting at 11am and burial thereafter at his father’s home Kamaguta Village.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of our beloved mother Rev. Stellah Sungu Osoo of Milimani Village, Chekalini Sub location, Lugari Sub County, Kakamega County, which occurred on 29th December 2016.

Wife of the late Wilfred Chitwa Osoo. Daughter of the late Hezekia Olunyenya and the late Teresia Olunyenya of Ebusiekwe Ipali, Bunyore. Mother of Enos, Penina, David, Dickson, Simon and Ruth. Mother-in-law of Akina, Elizabeth , Victoria and Ruth. Sister of the Late Fredrick Olacha, Florence Osotsi, the late Everline Osengo and Sarah Okonji. Aunt and grandmother of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her residence in Chekalini everyday from 5pm. The cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on 5/1/2017 for service at Mushikulu Church of God at 12 noon and then proceed to her residence in Chekalini, Lugari. She will be laid to rest at her farm in Chekalini, Lugari on the 7/1/2017.

David, Justin, James, Jenny and Jessica are very sad to announce the death of Charles on Monday 2nd January 2017 after a long illness borne with typical fortitude and humour.

Charles and his beloved Pat will now be creating their usual mischief and mayhem at the ultimate Nineteenth Hole.

Cremation will be a private family affair.

Most grateful thanks to everyone at the MP Shah Hospital which has been his second home for the past six months, but most especially to Dr K.S. Giddie who has been a true family friend as well, as well as a Doctor during this trying period.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home Machakos on Saturday 7/1/2017 at 8am for a funeral service at Silanga Mbuu SA Church and thereafter for the burial at her Katheka home, Kavuko sub-location.

 

Mark Too

It is with profound shock and great sadness that we announce the death of Honourable Mark Kiptarbei Too, which occurred on December 31st, 2016.

He was a former Assistant Minister in the Office of the President and a Nominated Member of Parliament. He also served as Chairman; Lonrho East Africa, Kenya Sugar Authority, The Standard Group, Director Standard Chartered Bank among other positions.

Hon Mark Too is the son of the late Joseph Kandie and the late Christina Chesugut. Brother of Christopher Kemei, Clement Tirop, Nelson Too and the late Samson Rotich.

Husband of Mary Jepkemboi and Sophie Jelimo and a loving father of Elizabeth, Moses, Jenny, Daniel, Sandra, Kevin and Sharon. Father-in-law of Sammy Kositany, Aziza Shariff and Yusuf Melly. Son-in-law of Sylvanus and Hellen Chemengen and the late Jason Mosong and Lilian Mosong.

Doting grandfather of Leon, Patra, Daniella, Max, Kigen, Esther, Ceasar, Kibet, Alex, Zahra and Jamal. He was an uncle of many.

Burial arrangements are on going at his homes in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu and Nairobi.

A memorial service will be held at his residence 24 Muthaiga Rd opposite Getrudes Children Hospital, Muthaiga, Nairobi tomorrow Friday, January 6th, 2016 at 10am.

The cortege leaves Nairobi for Eldoret on Sunday 8th January 2017 followed by prayers at his Kapseret farm residence at 2pm the same day. The funeral will take place on his farm in Kapseret, Uasin Gishu County on Monday, January 9th, 2016 starting at 10am.

Bwana Dawa was a man of great humour, strength, courage, wisdom and had a very generous heart. He loved his family, friends and was a pillar of the church and community.

Susan Gaceri Eldad’s

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden death of Ms. Susan Gacheri Eldad of Atlanta, Georgia on  December 30, 2016.

On Christmas Eve, Susan Eldad was taken ill. She was 27 weeks pregnant and had high blood pressure. In order to try and save her and her babies lives, an emergency C-Section was performed during which she developed complications.

Susan was transferred to Emory University Hospital where she was admitted to the ICU Unit in the neurosurgery department. While at Emory, doctors discovered she had an aneurysm which had burst and was followed by multiple seizures which resulted in massive swelling. Doctors performed brain surgery. The Doctors and nursing staff worked tirelessly to try and save her life but were unsuccessful.  May Susan’s soul rest in peace.

Susan is survived by her mother Ms. Joyce Ndia Eldad, her partner Richard Muro, her son Jeff and her newborn twin daughters.

Susan will be laid to rest at her rural home in Meru County, Kenya.

The organizing Committee is appealing to friends and well-wishers to assist us in raisng funs to offset the transportation costs of Susan’s body back to Kenya. We would also like to thank the prayer team in the USA, UK, Kenya, Tanzania and other parts of the world, Susan’s former school mates and friends for their deligence duing her illness and even now as we plan her going home celebration.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Margaret Muthoni Kiragu of Raimu- Kirinyaga County on 30/12/16 at Avenue Hospital Nairobi after a valiant struggle with Cancer. She worked at Finesse, Westiands, Nairobi.

Daughter of the late Noah Kiragu and Jackbed Wangeci. Sister of the Late Alice W. Kiragu, Benson Muthee and Perk Wambura Muritu of (Tenderfoot School). Dedicated Mother of Desmond Daiki and Meshack Kiragu. Aunt of Eric, David and Jackline, Muthee and Esther, Jaqueline, Faith and David, Muritu. Sister-in-law of Stephen Muritu and Alice Muthee.
