It is with great thanks to God that we wish to announce the passing on to glory of Brother-in- Christ Mzee M’Mwirichia Kiiri. Son of the late Kiiri Mireero and the late Gaceke Kiiri. Husband of Elizabeth M’Mwirichia. Brother of the late Japhet M’Nkatha, Nathaniel M’Mukindia and M’Kirimania Kiiri. Father of Julius Mwirigi Kiiri. Father-in-love of Salome Mwirig Kiiri of Muthangene Day Secondary School. Grandfather of Kinya Kendi Kiiri of JKUAT (Karen), Marete Kinoti of Nazarene University and Emily Marete of Rongai. He is survived by many great grand sons and daughters.

The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home on Tuesday 7th February, 2017 at 9am for, a funeral service at MCK Muthangene at 10am and burial thereafter at his home in Kithaku village, Katheri Location Meru County.

Wife of the Late Mwalimu David Liech Ogilo of Kowidi location, Kanyango sub Location. Daughter of the late Shadrack Mageni and the late Salome Auma Mageni of Kaswanga, Rusinga Island. Daughter in law of the late Mzee Yason Ogilo and late Mama Rael Sire, Rosa Ogilo, Yunes Ogilo and Maren Ogilo. Mother of Arthur Liech (Kisumu), Beatrice Nyakan (Kisii University), the late Linnet Anyango, the late Phelesia Almadi, Webby Liech ( KAA HQ), Silvester Liech (ICTA-Nbi), Duncan Odingo (Daima Eldoret) Willis Owuor and Ivy Ogweno. Mother-in-law of Peter Nyakan, Obere, and the late John Ogweno, Pamela Achieng, Rose Otieno, Lilian Nyakan, and Janet Khatenje. Sister of the late Rhoda Anyango, Yukabeth Olal, Penina Ogweno, Hellen Ongpro, Prisca Okeno, Caren Olang, late Mary Otieno. Sister in law of late Simeon, late Philip, Joseph Ogito, late Keneth, late Athanasio and Late Hezron, Benard Ogilo, late Elphas Odhiambo and Dan Ogilo, Janet Awiti, Mildred Adoyo and Grace. Other in laws are Joshua Ogweno, Johnston Ongoro, Ephraim Okelo, late Meshak Olang and John Otieno, Nelly Nyakan, Mama Fleria Qlela, Mama Risper Opondo, Joseph and Jenifer Omondi, and Geraldine Otolwa. She has left 25 grandchildren and 3 great grand children.

The cortege leaves Hema Hospital Mortuary Kisii on Thursday 10th February 2017 for burial at her home on 10th February 2017.

John Kiritu Karugu / Baba Munjiru (Koimbi)

Son of the late Karugu Kamau and Munjiru Karugu. Loving husband of Cathrene Wanjiku Kiritu and Beatrice Wambui Kiritu. Dad of Hannah Munjiru Kiritu, Easther Muthoni Kiritu, Patrick Kimani Kiritu, Ephantus Mwangi Kiritu, Susan Munjiru Kiritu, Keziah Wambui Kiritu and Eric Kamau Kiritu. Brother of the late Kamau, the late Stanley Kagwaini, the late Kigetu and Keziah Wambui. Grandfather of Adrine Wambui, Timothy Kamau, Peter Ngunungu, Natasha Wambui and many others.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his rural home Matithi village as well as Norwich Union Towers 7th floor and at Kasarani Mwiki. The cortege leaves Murang’a County Mortuary on Saturday 11 /02/2017 thereafter he will be laid to rest at his home Matithi ,Murang’a County.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Mrs. Cecilia Wambui Munyua Gatoho after a long fight with cancer illness that occurred on 2/02/2017.

Daughter of Teresia Njeri and the late Michael Munyua Waititu. Wife of Samuel Gatoho and mother of Teresia Wanjohi, Ruth Wanjiru Kabul and Moses Njoroge. Grandmother of Tatianna, Prudence, Spivey, Eugene, John and the late Felicity among others. Sister of Hon. Francis Munyua Waititu (MP, Juja Constituency), Pastor Nancy Kimura, Kihara, Kuria, Maria, Richard, Mary, Mercy, Joe Kariuki George, Shiku and Nyokabi. Cousin and auntie of many.

Daughter of Mr John Marimba and the late Mrs Fausta Muthoni. Wife of the late Mr Albert Gitau Mwangi. Mother of Dorris Gitau (Netcare Medical Centre), Lilian Gitau Ruto, Kenneth Mwangi (Kenol Hospital), Patrick Kimathi (Lavington United Secondary School), Susan Wanjiru (St John’s Academy). In law of Engineer Samuel Ruto and Samuel Mathenge. Grandmother of Dylan Yego, Damien Yego and Albert E Mathenge. Sister, aunt and a friend to many.
