Rosemary Karoki Gitau

It is with great sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mrs Rosemary Karoki Gitau of Saint Mary’s School Nairobi which occurred on Saturday February 4^th 2017 at Melchizedek Hospital after a long illness.

Daughter of Mr John Marimba and the late Mrs Fausta Muthoni. Wife of the late Mr Albert Gitau Mwangi. Mother of Dorris Gitau (Netcare Medical Centre), Lilian Gitau Ruto, Kenneth Mwangi (Kenol Hospital), Patrick Kimathi (Lavington United Secondary School), Susan Wanjiru (St John’s Academy). In law of Engineer Samuel Ruto and Samuel Mathenge. Grandmother of Dylan Yego, Damien Yego and Albert E Mathenge. Sister, aunt and a friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her residence in St Mary’s School Nairobi from 5pm. There will be a major fundraising on Wednesday 8^th February 2017 at 4pm to offset the medical bill.

There will be a memorial service at Lavington United Church on Thursday 9^th February 2017 from 4pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 11^th February 2017 at 7am for a funeral service at St Stephen’s ACK Kagumo Church Kiria, Murang’a County and thereafter to be laid to rest at her farm in Mutegi, Kagumo, Kiria.
