We regret to announce the demise of Mwalimu Lina Openji Riziki who succumbed to throat cancer at Tanaka Nursing Home, Busia, on March 14th 2017. Former student of Machakos TTC (2013-2016) and teacher at Little One Academy, Nairobi.

Daughter of Emilly Ouma and Michael Rapando of Bunandi village, Funyula. Busia County. Granddaughter of the late Mzee Rapando Magorombo and the late Cecilia Akongo Rapando of Bunandi and the late Mzee Henric Ouma and Mama Josephine Taka of Nyakwaka. Sister of Eugene Bwire (Multipurpose Haulers, Mombasa), Jemima Nafula (Bar ka Lare, Gem), Collins Rapando (Ukunda, Kwale), Griface Wandera, Yvonne Anyango (Namboboto ACK Mission Hospital), Jude Akinyi, Collins Rapando (Sigalame High) and Elly Bwire. Niece of Ambrose Rapando, Benard Magorombo, John Magorombo, Sgt Jonathan Rapando (KDF Gilgil) and Jacob Rapando.

Burial will take place at her father’s home Bunandi, Funyula, Busia county on March 25th 2017

Friends and relatives are meeting daily from 5pm at Ndagene Market – Meru and in Nairobi at Ebony Meeting Chambers – 2nd Floor RM 4.

The cortege leaves Consolata Hospital Mortuary – Nkubu on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at 9am for the funeral service at PCEA Ithimbari Church and thereafter she will be laid to rest at her home in Ithimbari.

We announce the death of Anthony Kamiti who died in the USA. Son of Sally Wamaitha Wainaina. Grandson of the late Hosea Wainaina and Isabel Njeri Wainaina of Ngecha Farm, Bahati, Nakuru.

Brother of Robert & Jenna Wainaina. He was nephew of Eddy Wainaina, Reuben Wainaina, the late Kamiti Wainaina, Rev Dr Judy Mbugua, Wambui Wainaina & Wanjiku Wainaina. Cousin & friend of many.

There will be prayers held on Tuesday 21st March 2017 at Homecare Spiritual Fellowship – Ngong Road at 5pm.

The body arrives from the USA next week. Funeral date will be announced later.

Father-in-law of Joseph Mwania Kioko (Katumbuthu), Solomon Mbithi Kimuyu (KBD Machakos), Alice Mueni Iseu (Makueni County Government) and Grace Mwikali Kioko (Business Lady Kyumbi). He had 18 grandchildren including Mirriam Mwania (1st woman Makueni County – KNUT) and 12 great grand children.
