It’s with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the unexpected passing of one of our Kenyan brothers based in Berlin.

Eric Omondy Okuma, a resident of Berlin was in 2015 diagnosed with Lymphoma, a form of cancer that affects the immune cells (lymphocytes). Since his diagnosis, he was forced to seek treatment at several hospitals but his condition luckily remained stable until three weeks ago, when he collapsed on his way to the supermarket. He was rushed to hospital where he had to undergo an emergency brain surgery. He unfortunately was too weak to take up any further treatment and was instead transferred to a hospice where he succumbed peacefully in his sleep on May 3rd.He leaves behind a wife and children.

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary, Eldoret, on Thursday 11/5/2017 for a Church Service at Eldoret Christian Church, Eldoret West, beginning at 10.00 a.m. Thereafter the cortege leaves for her home in Kanyadoto for an overnight istay. Burial will take place on Friday, 12/5/2017 starting from 10.00 a.m. at Osodo Village, Kanyadoto, Ndhiwa Sub-county, Homa Bay County.
