12th Dec, 1926 to 25th Apr,2017     It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Dr. Munyua. Waiyaki on 25th April 2017.
Dr. Waiyaki was a former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament for Mathare Constituency. He held several cabinet-portfolios, including the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Waiyaki was the first born son of the late Tiras Waiyaki Munyua and the late Elizabeth Wairimu Waiyaki. He was the husband of the late Naomi Wanjiku Waiyaki. He was father of Elizabeth Wairimu, Tiras Barae, the late Susan Wanjugu Waiyaki-Abdallah, Solomon Njuguna, Gladwell Wathoni, Tuchi Karanja and the late Lui Kimani. Dr. Waiyaki was brother to Lewis Kimani, the late Justice James Mugo, Mrs. Gladwell. Wathoni Buliro, Mrs. Jane Nfinga Newbould, the late Kenneth Mang’ara, the late Virginia Wambui Otieno, Mrs. Roxanna Wanjiru, Dr. Peter Gichuhi, the late Edwin Muiru, the late Dr. Benjamin Githieya, the late Eliud Thini, the late David Nyoike, Charles Wanyoike, Prof. Lilian Njeri and the late Reginald Mwathi. He was father-in-law of Veronica Anam-Waiyaki and Ramat Jacob Abdallah. Grandfather of Fredrick Munyua, Edward Njuguna, Jordanka Wanjiku, Bashiru Abdallah, Aisha Abdallah, Tori Wanjiku and Taiyani Wanjiku. A funeral service will be held on Thursday 4th May 2017 at Church of Torch, Thogoto starting at 10.30 a.m. followed by a private family ceremony thereafter.

Uncle of Elvis, Jonathan, Nyabokes, Justine, Ogakes, Lewis, Eunice and others. Nephew of the late Isaac Nyarega, the late major Nyariki, Leah, Prisca, Frida. Hon Meshack Mochoge, Matara, Jason, Milka, Daudi, Mose, Monica, Ben and Nyaruri. Friends and relatives are meeting at Tumaini House (Opp Kencom) daily starting 5p.m. Main Fundraising will be held on 3rd May 2017 at Professional Centre starting from 5p.m to offset the outstanding medical bill and funeral expenses.There will be a memorial service at Montezuma Funeral Home at 7a.m on 4th May 2017 and thereafter the cortege leaves for his Motagara home, Nyamira County for burial on 5th May 2017. Days have turned into one year since that most painful moment when you left us for His Glory.We still feel profound pain in our sorrowful hearts as we miss you dearly. We are however grateful for the wonderful and blessed 19 years that He allowed us to be graced with your presence.
Everything in life is born, lives and then dies.We will never get over the grief of your leaving us but we hope, with the grace of God, to learn to live with it.
We are grateful to God for who you were — such a loving and caring soul.You always said how much you loved us and expressed this with unending hugs and kisses. We cherish and miss you every time we hear those words spoken. You were a blessing to our family and you will forever remain a shimmering light in our hearts.

Son in law of the Late Isaiah Udina and the Late Eunice Kageha. Brother-in-law of the late Jane Walumbe, Hellen Alividza, Margaret Lung’afwa, Samuel Madanga, and Everlyne Amadi and Uncle of many. Prayers will be held at Friends Church, Ngong Road on 4th May at I 0.00am. Thereafter, the cortege leaves for his home in Kolongolo Location, Kwanza Sub County, Trans Nzoia County on 4th April 2017 where he will be laid to rest on Saturday 6th May 2017.

1928 – 2017   We, the family of the late Her Excellency Ambassador Margaret Wambui Kenyatta, thank the Almighty God for the gift of ‘Cucu’, and for the quality time He granted us to share with her, the memories of Which we shall forever cherish in our hearts. We humbly wish to express our heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to relatives, friends, neighbour and well-wishers for their presence, prayers, words of comfort, messages of condolence and expressions of love and support.
We acknowledge and give special thanks to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya Hon. Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta, Her Excellency the First Lady Margaret Kenyatta and the entire Kenyatta and Muigai families for their support during this time. We also thank the funeral committee for guiding the funeral preparations and ensuring the best possible send-off for Cucu.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Cucu’s former colleagues and friends, especially the ‘Ex-Afrique G’, the Kenya Girl Guides and the Trefoil Guild, for standing with us during thi trying period. We are truly grateful to the PCEA St. Andrews Church clergy; the PCEA District 20 members and the PCEA St. Andrews choir for leading the prayer meetings at her home and conducting her burial ceremony. Special thanks as well to Rev. Tom Otieno and Juja Preparatory School for their evening prayer session. We also wish to thank Cucu’s care givers and medical staff for the tireless and loving care they afforded to Cucu in the later years of her life and for making her comfortable up until her last day.
To all those who supported us during this time with essential services, particularly the Nairobi City County, the National Police Service, and the various hospitality service providers, please accept our deepest gratitude and appreciation.
We also appreciate the immense support of all those who travelled from far and wide to be with us as we laid Cucu to rest. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to celebrate Cucu’s beautiful life with us. To all those who stood with us and who we are unable to thank individually, please accept the family’s profound and sincere gratitude.
