Husband of Mrs. Christine Wangari. Doting father of Muchina, Ngugi and Muthoni. Son of the late Mwalimu Moses Muchina and the late Mary Muthoni Muchina. Brother of the late Mureithi Muchina, the late Eliud Mugo, the late David Murage, Mrs Ann Gichuki, Mrs Bilha Gatheru, Margaret Wanjiru, Mrs Grace Murimi — Principal Kerugoya School For The Deaf, Mrs Nancy Muchina-Mwangi of Kirinyaga County Government and Mrs. Faith Maina. Son-in-law of the late J.T. Ngugi and Mrs Andelina Njeri Ngugi of Maragwa. Uncle of Mrs Mary Mwangi, Principal Kiaragana Girls High School, among many others. Cousin of Dr. Purity Macheru-Irungu of U.o.N., among others.
Family and friends are meeting daily at his home  in Ridgeways Springs, off Kiambu Road from 5.00pm, and his Kianguenyi home.There will be meetings at All Saints Cathedral on 3rd and 4th May from 5pm. The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Saturday, 6th May 2017 at 7.00am. Funeral and burial service will be held at his home in KianguenyiVillage, KabareWard, Kirinyaga County.The family will appreciate your assistance in clearing the large hospital bill incurred in the care of Mr. Nyaga Muchina. Rahab Wambui Gakuru and Rev. Elizabeth Wanjiru Ngunyi. Mother-in-law of Rev. Beth Njogah, the late Peter Mutero, Margaret Njihia, Emma Thairu, Maina Kimani, Luke Wanjohi, Dr. Damaris Mwangi, Rev. James Gakuru and Rev. Stephen Ngunyi. Ruth is also survived by many grandchildren & great grandchildren.
Friends and relatives will meet at P.C.E.A. St Andrews Church on Tuesday 2nd May 2017 at 5.30pm.The Cortege will leave Chiromo mortuary on Thursday 4th May 2017 at 8 a.m. for Langata AIC church in Ngei II Estate.Thereafter the burial will be held at Lang’ata Cemetery.
