(2002 – 2017)   It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the demise of Emmy Phelgona Owuor which occurred on 26th April 2017 in Nairobi.
Daughter of Zephania Ovvuor Ouma (of NEMA) and Olivia Odida. Owuor. Step daughter of Winnie Cheruiyot Owuor. Loving sister of Phelida Akinyi, Zephania ‘Junior’ Jared and Myla Iska. Step sister of Cynthia, Moses,Alicia and Bella Ovvuor. Cousin of Delence, Fran kline, Roy, Steve, Vouncher, Penenina, Museveni, Phelesia, Mose, Norah, Brenda, the late Abby and Brennan. She was a niece of Sabina Atieno of ICIPE, Everline Oluoch, Elly & Abisalom Ogwanjo, Richard, Docky, Frida, Sandra, Vera, Vena, Tom Okeyo (USA),VioletVVasuna, Cecil Omondi (USA),Alice, Phoebe, Ruth, Charles Ooko (Min. of Foreign Affairs), Dancun, Winnie, the late Jared and George Odida. Granddaughter of the late Moses and Phelgona Ogwanjo (Rusinga), the late Michael and Iska Odida (Ndhiwa), the late ambassador Michael Okeyo, the late Meshack Otieno, Jim Ochieng, Paul Obara, Tom Elly,_ Millicent Okach, Deborah Okeyo and Silvia Ondhoro. Great Granddaughter of the late Zephania Owuor, Nora Owuor, Phelida Owuor, Elias Okach and the late Judith omollo.
Friends and relatives are meeting daily at her parents’ residence in South B Nairobi for prayers and funeral arrangements. Fundraising towards medical and funeral expenses is planned to be on Tuesday the 2nd May 2017 at All Saints Cathedral Nairobi starting at 5.30 pm. The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 4th May 2017 at I Oam for Rusinga Island Homa-bay County. Funeral Service and Burial will be on Friday 5th May 2017 at her parents home in Wakwala village, Kaswanga, Rusing Island.
