Brother In Christ Mzee Zakayo Kobia Lintari (Baaba)

It is with humble acceptance of the will of God that we announce the passing on to glory of Brother in Christ Mzee Zakayo Kobia Lintari, of Tigania West, Nchiru village in Meru and a member of St Mary’s Methodist Church in Nchiru. Mzee Lintari passed on peacefully in his house on Tuesday, June 20th 2017. He was a former AEO, staffing officer and ECK District Commissioner for Meru North. Loving husband of Jane Mwonjiru Lintari of Nchiru village. Son of the late Joseph M’Amburukua and the late Silvia Nkatha. Brother of the late Limbere, the late Nthama and Mwari. Devoted father of Mary Kiome (Ngong), Ann Ntoiti (Meru University), Beatrice Gituma (Mombasa), Dorothy Kamwilu (Education attache, London), John Nturibi (Mwanika Primary), Priscillah Muthoni (jean Energy Limited), Carol Lintari (BrentWellis and Associates) and Enock Ntongai (Businessman, Nchiru). Father-in-law of Dr Richard Bagine (Formerly of National Museums of Kenya), Samuel Ntoiti (CIDIEF Quantity Surveyors), Gituma Mbogoria (Pandya Memorial Hospital), Dr Samuel Kamwilu Akwalu (AHITI Kabete), Rose Nturibi (Meru School for the Mentally Challenged and Autism), the late Samson Magiri and Rose Ntongai. Grandfather of the late Dr Abigail, Daniel (Meru County office), Loise (Kabete National Polytechnic), Emma (Kenya Railways), Mark (Kenya Airworks), Ruth Gakii, Mwenda (Cooperative University Msa), Gitonga (Tourism Fund), Kelly Kendi (Pandya Memorial Hospital), Obed (UON), Joel OKUAT), Esther. (UON), Mwendwa (TUK), Kathambi (Chogoria Girls), Kinya (Tender Brains), Ken (Gitimbine),Kevin Magni (Equity Bank Machakos), Victor (Alliance High Sch), Princess (Hillside School Utawala), Diana (Tender Brains), Kendi (Tender Brains), baby Zacky, Enock (Egerton) and Faith (Alliance Girls High Scholl. Great grandfather of Christian, baby Jasmine and Baby Muthoni. Foster father of James Kubai.(Mombasa.), Jedrus are Mboori (Kithirune) and Stephen Micheu (KNH). A friend and mentor to many.

Relatives and friends are meeting daily at his home for funeral arrangements. The cortege leaves Meru Funeral Home for  a funeral service at Kunene Methodist Church on July 1, 2017 from 10am and thereafter he will be interred at his Nchiru home.

Racheal Syokau Mang’oka

We regret to announce the sudden and untimely death of Racheal Syokau Mang’oka. She leaves behind a husband John Guchu Macharia (British High Commission) and their son Neil Macharia Guchu. She was daughter to David Kakui Mang’oka and the late Mrs. Esther Katuu Mangoka. Sister to Josphine Kakui (Machakos Baptist), Eva Nthenya (U.S.A), Beatrice Minoo,. Brother of Thomas Kakui, Micheal Makau.

Daughter in Law to Mrs. Jane Wanjiku Kinywe, Sister in Law to Late Martin Mutala, Jason Estebez (USA), Sammy Githinji, Gerald Kinywe, George Nganga, Beatrice Munjiru (Brazilian High Commission), Purity Wanjiru and Everlyne Mwongeli. She was aunt to Ian Kakui Mutala, Ivy Mutala, Ryan Kenya Githinji, Ajani David Kakui and Esther.

Family and friends are meeting in BuruBuru Phase 4 House No. 809.

The burial will be held on Friday 30th June in Murang’a, Mugori. The body will leave Kenyatta University at 7:00am for burial together with the service.

It is in God’s will that we announce the passing to glory of our Beloved Mother, Ruth Sempeyo Nangurai on the 19th June 2017 at 0900am in the morning, after a long illness bravely borne.

Mother of Anne-Marie Muchura, Joseph Leserian and Anne Muthoni. Beloved grandmother of Louie Kashero, Wesley Agade,Tevin Agade, Michelle Agade, Nashaepae Isobel, Michael and Benjamin Leserian. Daughter of the late Harry Lewis and the late Elizabeth. Sister of John, Grace, Lucy, Christine, George,Andrew, late Anana and Hadija of Bulbul and Udi Gecaga. Devoted friend and aunt of many.

Family and friends will be meeting on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th for final burial arrangements at the Continental Hotel, along Rhapta Road from 5pm. Donations can be sent via Mpesa +254707966905.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of Naomi Wairimu Burton. Wife of the late Burton Kamau Thuri. Sister of the late Zakayo Kuhunya, the late Phylis wanjiku Njoroge and late Beth Wangari Kamau.

Mother of Thuri Burton, Wanjiru Karanja, Dr. Ruth Kamau, Wangari Muhia, Joseph Kihiu, Beth Njeri, Eng. David Kamau, Zakayo Kuhunya, Stephen Macharia, Grace Muthoni, Eng. Waiganjo Kamau and Helen Kamau. Survived by 35 grand children and 14 great grand children.

Family and friends meeting daily at their Kigoro Home — all day and Jogoo Kimakia Hotel in Thika from 7.00pm. The from 11.00am. Father of Alice and Peter Njuguna {Creative Studio), Allan and Jacinta Mburu (Bank of India), Githinji Mburu (Businessman), Isaac and Elizabeth Ndungu (Ampex Audiovisual Solutions), Michael and Florence Mwangi (l&M Bank), Susan Wamilyu and Julia Mburu (ASL Ltd.). Brother of the late -Esther Wambui, the late Ruth Wambui, Naomi Wangui, Mary Njoki, Isaac N. Kibue, Susan Wachuka, Isaiah Kimani and Lawrence Njau. Grandfather of Kevin and Rainette, Sheila, Sharon and Mark, Ian, Faith and Tablynn, Sean-Myles and Patricia, Audrey, Sheila, Valarie, Melissa and S.P. jnr.

Prayers are being held daily at his home in Kahawa Sukari from 5.30 pm, and at Anniversary Towers on Wednesday 28th,Thursday 29th, and Friday 30th from 5.30 pm.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary on Tuesday 4th July 2017 at 8.00am for a service at ACK St Peter’s Church Kahawa Sukari at 10.00am and thereafter the burial at Capital Hill Estate Ruai.

APPRECIATION

We, the family of Mr. L. N. Waithaka (Kimwatu), wish to thank the Almighty God for the life and time of our Husband, dad, brother, grandfather, and Uncle Mr. L.N Waithaka who went to be with the Lord on 8/6/2017.

We have been greatly humbled and appreciate the word of encouragement and comfort through prayers, visitations, sympathies, consolation and generosity during the difficult time. Special mention goes to his personal doctors Dr. Charles Kariuki and Dr.Wanjiru of Nairobi Hospital doctors Plaza and all doctors and nurses of the Nairobi Hospital who had been attending him and tried their best to save his life. Many thanks to the Moderator, Elders and all members of PCEA Evergreen church Runda, the entire PCEA Ndunyu Njeru Parish and the entire Clergy both in Nairobi and Kinangop who participated and prayed for us.We also thank Lee Funeral Home, Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home,Wonderjoy PartyWorld, Green View Events and all other service providers for their professional services rendered during the entire period. We wish to announce the death of Margaret Wanjiru Muchoki. She was born in the year 1920 in Githembe village (kwa Mbari ya Mwati) he parents were the late Karanja Gachanga and the late Wamune Muthiru.

Wife of the late Simon Muchoki Kagina. Mother of Stephen and Christine Kagina, Joseph and Anne Muchoki, the late Eunice Wairimu Nganju, John and Monica Gachanja, and Rosemary Wanjiku. Sister of the late Nyambura Lenard Mubea, the late Wambui kangethe, late Ben Mburu Karanja. Grand mother of thany and several Great grand children.

Friends are meeting at Buru Buru Phase 2, house number 682, Kamutile Court and Karabai village, Maragua.

The cortege leaves Bishop Okoye Funeral Home Thika and burial the same day at her home in Karabai village Muchoki Mugumoini Maragua 30/06/2017.

Chrispus Lagho Righa

It is with grief and humility that we accept the passing on of our brother and friend, Chrispus Lagho Righa of the Ministry of Energy and Petroleum – State Department of Petroleum, after a brave battle with gastric cancer.

Beloved husband of Linet Mkang’ombe Mwandango and father of Brayden Righa. Chris was the second born son of Mr. Celestine Righa and Mrs. Catherine Samba Righa. Brother of the late John Mwangeka, Daniel Mwakio, Oscar Righa, Elizabeth Mrunde, Derick Ngula, Edwin Righa, the late Tony Righa and Audrey Righa.

Family, friends and relatives are meeting daily at Garden Square from 5.00 p.m for funeral arrangements. There will be a fundraising at 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 28th June, 2017 at Garden Square, Nairobi, and CITC Buxton, Mombasa to help offset medical and funeral expenses.
