With heavy hearts, we announce the promotion to glory of our beloved matriarch, Mwaitu Esther Mueni Kaluku, which took place on Friday, October 10th 2025.

Born in 1928 in Mutulani Village, she was the daughter of the late Kilonzo Mbuli and Syukwia Kilonzo, and the sister of the late Kavisa, Ngeli, Wanzuu, and Benson Kavavu Kilonzo.

She was married to the late Kaluku Mwania, and were blessed with eight children: Sammy Kaluku, the late Janet Musenya, Georgina Munyiva, David Kilo (Masenti), Benson Kaluku, Anna Kyenze, Felistus Nduku, and the late Kyalo Kaluku. She was a loving grandmother to 37 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are meeting daily (Mon-Fri) at her home in Kalamba, Isambani Village, Makueni County, from 10:00 AM. On Saturday, October 18, 2025.

The cortege leaves Nuclear Funeral Home in Wote town at 7:30 AM, for a burial service at her home.

He was the beloved son of Joseph Wanyoike Ng’ang’a and Lucy Wanjiru Wanyoike. Brother of Naomi Wangari Wanyoike (Zawadi School Eastleigh) and Annie Wanyoike (Rafiki Microfinance Bank).

Brother in-law of Anthony Ndirangu.

He was loving uncle of Benson, Asunter, Tamara, Amelia and Arianna. He was a cherished nephew, cousin, and a friend to many.

Friends and family are meeting daily at the family’s residence in Witeithie Tora Lenana Avenue for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home Thika Road on Thursday I 6th October 2025 at 9:00am and proceed for the burial service at their family grave site (Kwa Ng’ang’a) Raini Village, Kwamaiko Location, Githunguri Sub-County, Kiambu County at 10:30am.

With hearts full of love and deep sadness, we share the news of the passing of Elder Charity Kirigo Githinji — a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, auntie. and a true pillar of her community. She was promoted to glory on the 9th of October, 2025 after a long illness.

She was a daughter of the late Jefferson Gatheca and the late Nyachomba Kirichwa and Ella Muthoni Gatheca.

Charity was a sister of Margaret Gakenia, Joseph Mwangi, Anne Nyaguthii, David Matheri, Elizabeth Karungari, Elder Wamuyu, Florence Wangu, Samuel Munyiri and the late James Njagi.

She was a wife of Zacharia Githinji Wahome. She was loving mother of Anthony Wahome, Nelson Murimi, Mercy Wanjiku and twins Mwai Githinji and Dashon Githinji. Mother in-law of Susan Murimi, Jimmy Nyerere, Beth Mwai, Rachel King’uru. She was a doting grandmother of Sharon & Jeremiah Wahome; Tiana & Natasha Murimi; Keisha & Ashley Nyerere; Githinji & Kagema Mwai; Nuru, joy & Zoe King’uru. Great grandmother of Dior Myla Kawira.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home at 6:30 AM on Thursday, 16th of October 2025 for the funeral service at PCEA Ngaini, Mathira West and burial thereafter at the Ngaini home.

We are sad to announce the sudden demise of Captain John Kyee Muita. He was the son of the late Joseph Muita Kiongo and the late Priscilla Wanjiru Muita. Step son of the late Virginia Njeri Muita.

Husband of the late Mary Njoki Njoroge and Judy Nyawera. Father of the late Tom John Muita, Duncan Ndungu Muita and Andrew Kibe Muita. Step father of Irene, Jane, Mike, David and Wanjiru.

Brother of Andrew, Kiongo, Waithaka, Njuguna, Mary, Wanjiku amongst others. Captain John Kyee Muita hails from Waiganjo Village, Ndundu Sub-location, Kiganjo Ward, Gatundu South, Kiambu County.

Funeral arrangement meetings are taking place at his rural home, Waiganjo Village, Ndundu and at Homeland Hotel, Thika Road opposite Garden City from 5:00pm.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 14th October 2025 at his farm in Waiganjo Village.

Mr Wandera was a devoted husband of Mrs. Beatrice Anyango Ouma, and a beloved son of the late James Wafula Odindiko and the late Mama Angela Nabwire Wafula (Nakori) of Dadira Village. He was also a cherished son-in-law of the late Mr. Elizaphan Juma Obinda and the late Judith Achieno.

A loving and dedicated father, he is survived by Wilfrida Betty Nabwire, James Wafula, Aaron Odindiko, Dr. Joseph Wandera, Judith Achieno, Edwin Ochieno, Bonface Juma, and Angela George.

He was a treasured father-in-law of Kenneth Juma, Emma Chebet, Vallery Magina, Jerusa Achieno, Anthony Ouma, and Brenda Nekesa.

Mr. Wandera was a proud grandfather of Sharlet, Lydia, Emmanuel, Morgan, Melcin, Stacy, Maicy, Jada, Zack, Jerrel, Marion, Bink, Angela, Ben, Joelyn, Eillynne, and Myles, and a great-grandfather of Declan.

He was a dear brother of Jessica Okochi, Jesca Akumu Nakitari, the late Bwire, Hannington Mangeni, Geoffrey Wanyama, the late James Ochieng, Robert Sanya, Annet Nafula, Topista Friday, Evelyne Middi, Okochi, and Siminyu, among others.

He was also a beloved brother-in-law of Ouma Nyota, John Obinda, Mwalimu Benard, Egesa Senior, Jenta Owade, Nekesa, and Akumu, among others.

Family and friends will meet at Little Theatre Club, Mombasa, on Friday 10th, Monday 13th and Wednesday 15th October 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Meetings will also be held daily at his rural home in Buriangi—Mundika, Busia County.

The cortege will leave Premier Hospital Mortuary, Mombasa, on Thursday 16th October 2025, for a Requiem Mass at ACK St. Mary’s Church, Buriangi, on Friday 17th October 2025, thereafter proceeding to his home in Buriangi—Mundika Village, Esikulu Sub-location, Matayos Sub-county, Busia County, for a night vigil. The funeral service and burial will take place on Saturday 18″ October 2025, at his home, starting at 9:00 a.m.
