Martha Muthoni Kanui

It is with heavy hearts and humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the Kanui family, announce the passing on of Martha Muthoni Kanui, formerly of Kenya Police (D.C.I.O – Railway Station), on 05th October, 2022 at the M.P Shah Hospital – Nairobi, after a long battle with cancer.

She was a loving wife to Benson Syuma Kanui of Kyevaluki Services Ltd. Loving Mother of Carolyn Kanui (USA), the late Victor Maina, Eric Kanui (Kyevaluki Services Ltd) and Kevin Kyale (Kiandani Hotel). Mother-in-law to Wangui Muna and Sharon Kibui. Grandmother of Jill Koki, Tyrone Syuma,Teddy Syuma, Hailey Muthoni and Samuel Kanui.

Daughter to the late Reuben Gatimu and the late Esther Gatimu. Sister to the late Ruth Wanjiru, James Kariuki, Loise Kihara, Lydia Waruguru, the late Narman Muthee, Daniel Maganjo, Japheth Githaiga, and the late William Warui.

Daughter-in-law to the late Stephen Kanui Kyale and the late Naomi Kanui of Kyevaluki, Kangundo. Sister-in-law to Prof.Titus Kanui, Pauline Mueni, the late Peter Mutisya, Peninah Kanui, Eng. Richard Kanui, the late Hon Winston Mbiyu, Rosemary Kanui, Charles Kanui, Benjamin Kanui and many others. A cousin, auntie and a friend to many others including Narpok Chapters.

Indeed, she lived an impactful life.

She will be laid to rest in a private funeral in Kangundo.
