We, the family of the late Mzee Andrew Shilabula Mulima, sincerely express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who stood with us through prayers, visits, messages of comfort, and generous support during the painful period of laying to rest our beloved Tata/Kuka.

We deeply appreciate the entire Mulima family for the love and unity shown, which truly lightened our burden. Our sincere thanks to the Lusuli’s, Shitakhwa’s,Atsango’s – most especially our brother Crispinus—together with Vamalungu, for walking with us in this journey of grief. We are grateful to the Steti’s, Shihinga’s, the children of the late Senje Musinzi, Shamials, Asidaga’s, Khamsin’s, and Shikundi’s (Maharnri) for your compassion, presence, and support during this difficult time. All our in-laws are highly appreciated for standing with us. Special appreciation goes to KNEC, the teachers, CATA, Solyo staff led by Mr Nyongesa ‘Ortega business associates, the County Administration of Shinyalu led by Senior Yaola, all our friends and relatives, and the Abitseride clan at large.We also extend our sincere thanks to Fr. Granddaughter of the late Charles Makokha (Bakwangwa) and Margaret Nafuna (Bakimwei), the late Henry Makokha Wangoywa (Babasaba) and Edith Makokha, Alfred/Wanjala Wangoywa and Francis Wakhisi (USA). Great grandchild of Rev. Charles Wakhisi.

The body leaves Chiromo mortuary on 16th February 2026 morning for a brief stopover at Syokimau, then to Bungoma County for burial on 17th February 2026 at Namboani Village, Namusinde Kimilili.

Eternal rest grant unto her; 0 Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen

His body will be removed from Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Tuesday 17/0212026 for overnight vigil at his home in Chepkoiyo, Kapnyamisa, Mosoriot, Nandi County. Burial is on Wednesday 18/02/2026.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home, Thika Road, on Friday, 20th February 2026 at 8:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service and interment at Wanyoro Village, near Marumi Coffee Factory, Kigumo Sub-County, Murang’a County, starting at 11:00 a.m.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of James Muthaka Maina, which occurred on Thursday, 5th February 2026.

James Muthaka was the firstborn son of Mr. Wilson Maim, Muthaka (late) and Mrs. Alice Wambui Maina Muthaka.
He was a beloved brother of John Kelvin Ndung’u (late), Maureen Ashley Wangari Maina and Sharon Wambui. He was a brother-in-law of Nicholas Muturi, and a loving uncle of Aziel Muturi, and to many others whose lives he touched in different ways.

Friends and relatives are invited to loin the family in prayers and fellowship at the South B residence every evening from 5.30 p.m.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday, 17th February 2026, at 7.30 a.m., proceeding to the family farm at Munyu, Kieni East, Nyeri County, for the funeral service and interment thereafter.

Job was the beloved son of the late Reuben Machogu and Mary Machogu. He was step-son of Jane Kemunto Machogu. Son-in-law of Ibrahim Tenge and Judith Wanambuko.

He was the devoted husband of Lillian Nasimiyu Tenge and a loving father of Derrian Machogu Mogambi and Jimmy Machogu.

He was the cherished grandson of the late Caleb Mogire Omani, the late Truphena Mogire, Joyce Wangui Kamuya, Peter Ongarora, Thomas Okworo, the late Truphena, Bathsheba, Kezia, Rodha, Margaret, Manuari, Ratemo, and others.

Brother-in-law of Oscar, Suzzie, Tracy.

He was the brother of Peninah Nyakara Machogu and the late Jimmy Ngarua Machogu. Step-brother of Dennis, Luiza, Bilha and Vincent.

The cortege will depart from Samaritan Funeral Home in Kapsabet, Nandi County, at 9:00 AM. The procession will head toward the Showground, opposite Pioneer PCEA Church and near Nobel Academy. The funeral service will be held at his parent’s home in Kapsabet town with the burial to follow thereafter on the same grounds.

Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal, but love leaves a memory at no one can steal.

The family of the late Mwalimu Gerald Herbert Akivaga Jayuga regrets to announce his untimely passing on Saturday, 31st January 2026, at his home after a sudden illness.

Mwalimu Gerald was a beloved husband of Jones Nanyama and the late Jane lminza Mmbaya, and a devoted father of Adams Ndenga, Christine Akivaga, Sally Akivaga, Advocate Allan Akivaga, Vivian Akivaga, and Maxwell Akivaga. He was a doting grandfather of Talisha, Paula, Prince, Keith, Lathern, Nina, Zuri,Yanah, and baby Marcos.

He was the cherished son of the late Hezekiah Jayuga and the late Perez Ingasia, and a beloved brother of Everlyn Mwangi, Lona Kadenyi, Macdonald Indangasi, Howard Ombeva, Benson Chadenya, and to the late Enock Mwanzali, the late Joel Muganagani, the late Joyce Jayuga, and the late Sarah Kageha.

He was also a treasured father-in-law, son-in-law and brother-in-law to many who held him dearly.

A dedicated Gerald Herbert educator, counsellor, and church leader, Mwalimu Gerald touched countless lives through his service, wisdom, kindness, and humility. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

The funeral service will be held at his Baraka home in Kitale on 14th February 2026, after which the procession will proceed to his Kephis home in Kitale, where he will be laid to rest at 3:00 PM the same day.

She was the beloved wife of the late Mzee Gaetano Odunga Mulaa, daughter-in-law of the late Alexander Mulaa and the late Marsella Sitawa. Sister-in-law of the late Salome Mulaa, ot-the Late Sr. Francisca Mulaa, the late Lucia Odhiarnbo and the late Gabriel Ooko (husband of Maria Machio).

A loving mother of Prof Pius Ongoro Odunga (Kirinyanga University; UNECA), Paul Ong’ango Odunga (Tareen Initiative), Patrick Odiangala Odunga, Pauline Okumu Odunga (World Vision), Dr. Robert Mukoswa Odunga (Moi University), Rev. He was the last born son of the late John Ndoloka & the late Elizabeth Mutio.

Joseph was the husband of the late StellaMaris Mueni and father of MaryAnne Mutio & Vincent Ndoloka. Cherished Babu of Natasha Mueni and great grandfather ofTaji Vincent Chokwe & Taia Joseph Mutei.

He was a brother of the late Mary Kalondu, late Johnstone Mulamu, late Sister Mary Bernard, late Anna Nduku Montet, Marietta Akanyika and late Peter Makau.

Joseph was uncle of the Mulamu’s and Ndoloka’s of Tala, the Montet’s of Ngong, the Akanyika’s of Webuye.

Joseph was the son-in-law of the late Ndambuki Mulinga and the late Rosemary Mbulwa. He was brother-in-law of the late Rhoda and late Charles Kasanga, the late Jacinta and Alan Simu, Bernadette Mwelu and the late Benjamin Kimeu, Koki Mulinga, Paschalia Katumbi, Peter Mulinga, the late Nzyuko, Sim Ndilinge, the late Emily and Teddy Njoroge and the Ndambuki’s of Tala among others.

Known for his good natured sense of humour, oe lived a full life and has left us with a treasure trove of memories.

Funeral meetings are taking place at his home in Tala, Kyakatulu.

The funeral will be on Thursday 19th February 2026, at his home in Kyakatulu Village, Matungulu sub-county, Machakos county.

Tunu was the cherished son of Johnson Awuor of NAJJ Consultants and Lencer Awuor of JKUAT. He was a beloved sibling of Nicole Nita, Ahbrianna Essie, Joy Kaylene, and Lemuel Mitch.

Grandson of the late Nahashon and late Yuanita Awuor of Nyakach Koguta Ndori, Kisumu and the late Thomas and late Esther Okumu of Kakelo Dudi, Oyugis.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home for a memorial service at AIC Milimani on Friday 13th February 2026 from 10.00am to 1.00pm, and thereafter proceed to Nyakach for the burial. The burial will take place on Saturday 14th February 2026 in, Nyakach Koguta, Ndori Village.

A pillar to his family, a beloved brother, a cherished uncle and friend to many, Elijah was a source of wisdom, joy, and kindness. His life reflected diligence, integrity, love, and patience. Interment will be on Saturday, 21st February 2026.

We announce the passing on of Mwalimu James Arthur Ngure Mbiu which occurred on Sunday, 8th February 2026 in Kiambu County.

Son of the late Livingstone Mbui Njuria and Emily Gathoni Mbui of Ruthiruini Kiambu.

He was husband of Naomi Wandia with whom they were blessed with four children namely Emily Gathoni Kiarie, Mbui and Alex Nderi all of Alabama, USA and Dr Mercy Deche SC (Mombasa). Father-in-law of Reverend George Kiarie, Veronica Mbui and Arnold Deche and a loving grandfather of Dennis, Arthur, Collins, David, Wandia, Ngure, Fadhili, Faniki and Arnold Junior.

Son-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Peter Nderi of Ting’ang’a.

He is survived by his siblings Karen and Waniiru. His late siblings are Ngugi, Mary, Kibugi, Wanja, Wagikuri, Waithera. Karania, Mungai and Wambui.

Family and friends are meeting daily at 4..00pm at his home in Ruthiruini, Kiambu and also at CITAM Mombasa, Parklane, Nyali on Thursday and Friday from 6,00pm and Sunday from 2.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

There will he a memorial service on Sunday, 15th February 2026 at 2.00pm at his Ruthiruini home, Kiambu.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Referral Hospital Mortuary at 7.00am on Tuesday, 17th February 2026, followed by a funeral service on the came day at ACK St. James Cathedral in Kiambu Town from 10.30am. Burial will follow thereafter at his farm in Ruthiruini.

Mother of Milly (Baby) Omula, Rodgers (Bob) Ndezwa, Mary Omula, Noah Omula, Elizabeth Omula, and John Omula Ndezwa.

Sister in law of the late Jane, the late Hezron, the late Omenda, the late Charles, the late Beatrice, Misigo, Margaret, v, the late Christine, Monica, Dinah, Elizabeth, Beatrice, and the late Mary.

Captain Kirani was the beloved son of John Kirani and Frasiah Wamuyu of Gachika Village. Son-in-law of John Chege and Esther Waniiku.

He was a cherished husband of Mary Nyambura. A loving father of Ethan Kirani Maina.

He was a brother of Lydia Wanjiru, Martin Mbugua, Laban Mwangi, and Isaac Njoroge. Brother-in-law of Samuel Muchiri, Lydia Gathoni, Catherine Wangechi, Miriam Wanjiku, and Hannah Wakago.

Uncle of Allan, Cynthia, Shantel, Johnson, Edison, Jabali, Chege, and Trizah. Cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Ruiru Kimbo Matangi and also at Gachika Village for prayers and funeral arrangements.

It is humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Hon. Timothy Wambua Kilonzo (Mayor) on 4th February 2026.

He was the son of late Kilonzo Mbuvi and to Agnes Kilonzo.

Husband of Veronica Mwikali. He was father of Catherine Mueni, Titus Mutisya, Francis Muinde,Annah Mbatha and William Kilonzo.

He was brother of the late Phyllis Kanini, Mirriam Munee and Dominic Mutinda.

Father in-law of Sospeter Mutua, Patricia Syombua, Faith Nthenya, Jackson Ngei and Sheilla Mutheu. Grandfather of Louice, Timothy Jnr, Mercy, Annah, Evans. Robert, Mitchelle, Juliet, Isaac, John, Samuel, Evans, Miracle and Teddy. Great grandfather of Irie. He was beloved uncle and cousin to many.

The late Hon. Timothy was the last mayor Machakos Municipal Council and the First MCA Muvuti-Klima Kimwe ward. He was the Chief Whip of the first County Assembly of Machakos.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his Home Kitulu village and T-Tot Hotel in Machakos Town for Funeral arrangements.

There will be a Fundraiser at T-Tot Hotel Machakos on Monday 16th February 2026.

The burial will be held on Wednesday 18th February 2026 at his home Kitulu village- Muvuti, Machakos.

 

 

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Beryl Owaga, formerly based in Baltimore, USA. She passed away on the 8th February 2026 at Coptic Hospital, Nairobi, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Beryl was the beloved daughter of the late Mary and the stepdaughter of Bernard Oduge. She was a loving sister of Glen Oduge and the late Cindy.

She was a cherished granddaughter of the late Henry Owaga, the late Joyce Owaga, the late Pamela Owaga, and was grandniece to the families of the Oswagos, Okeyos, 00yos, Opons,Alugas, Frank Otieno, Mbuya, Liechs, among others.

She was a treasured niece of the late Esther, Jane, Judy. Ken, Joseph, Agnes, George, Churchill, Meg, Betty, Steve, Liz, and Caro, and to her aunts Leila, Juliet. Mercy, and Evelyn. Her uncles include Dr. Ongech, Dr. Chris Abeid, and Evans Akita.

She is survived by her grandmothers Caren, Anna, Christine, Lucy, and Caro, as we as many other relatives and loved ones.

She was a loving cousin of the late Erick, Ben, Cindy, Steph,Tiffany,Tendai, jayden,Ellajent, Zippy, Eli, Aviel, Jojo, Joseph, Brandon, Maya, Andy, Adrian, Tara. Taraji, and Trevor, among others.

Her body is lying at Star Mortuary, Kisumu. Interment will take place on Saturday, 14th February 2026, at the Owaga family home in Ahero.

Polycap Ocholla Kamili, NIBS., Ruth Owuor, Director of Education, Nairobi City County, Pamela Awino, and Dr.Betty Ochola- FPTR Brussels, Belgium. She carried the bonds of family with grace, guidance, and unwavering love throughout her life.

A devoted mother, Florence leaves behind Jeanette Whitney Oromo, CEO, The IMC People Ltd; Geoffrey Alex Odhiambo, ICT Officer, Homa Bay County; the late Sita Oromo; Jude Anthony Omondi of Sanlam Allianz, Siaya; and Cynthia Rose Akoth of Real Analytics, Nairobi. She was also mother to Nastybell Okoth and Rachael Chacha. Mother-in-law of Richard Oloo Oluoch, MD of The (MC People Ltd; Belinda Okoth of HRIM, Uriri Sub-County; and Yvonne Wycliffe, and a proud grandmother of Basil Oloo, Alani Florence Gweth, Bouhoulina Larskarina Omondi, Zuri Pamela Oloo, Cixi Zetian Therdoravic, Asli Nia, and ldia Marisa. To Florence, everyone became family.

Her professional journey began at Biwott Technical School, Eldoret, and included service at Owiro Akoko Girls Secondary School as a History and CRE teacher. She rose to Headmistress of Oruba Secondary School, Principal of Moi Girls Nyabohanse High School, Chief Principal of Ngiya Girls National School, and ultimately Chief Principal of Mai Girls Sindo High School, where her visionary leadership, discipline, and mentorship left a lasting impact on generations of students and staff.

Her body will be removed from Aga Khan Mortuary, Kisumu on Friday, 13th February 2026, followed by a requiem mass at St Theresa’s Cathedral, Kibuye, Kisumu at 2:00 pm, and a night vigil at her home. Burial will take place on Saturday, 14th February 2026, with a ceremony at Bukna Secondary School, Ukweli, Kajulu, Kisumu, from 9.30am, followed by a private interment at her home.

Florence Achieng Okoth’s leadership, faith, and devotion to family and education remain an enduring legacy. Her life reminds us that true greatness is measured by the love we give, the lives we shape, and the faith we hold.

David was a rare soul – magnetic, inspiring, and larger than life, guiding, supporting, and uplifting those around him with unwavering care and wisdom.

For over 60 years, he shaped the insurance broking industry with dedication and integrity, leaving an indelible mark on colleagues, clients, family, and friends alike.

His absence leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his enduring presence, guidance, and the memories he leaves behind will forever remain in our hearts.

He leaves behind his beloved sons, Justin and James Farrar; his daughters-in-law; nieces; and grandchildren who carry forward his legacy and the values he lived by.

The cremation will take place at 12:00 noon on Friday, 13 February 2026, at the Kariokor Crematorium.
