Brigadier General (Rtd) Peter Mikaye Manyara

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the sudden and untimely demise of Brigadier General (Rtd) Peter Mikaye Manyara on the evening of Tuesday 18th April 2017.

Son of the late Paul Manyara Mauti and the late Salome Mong’ina Manyara. Son in law of the late Major Mataiga and Cecilia Wekesa of Kuria district. Husband of Christine Nyangi Manyara. Father of Captain Thomas Marube Manyara, Dr. Robert Morendi Manyara and Lionel Ndubi Manyara.

Father in law of Monica Kareithi Manyara. Grandfather of Nathaniel Marube Manyara. Brother of Victor Osiri, Francisca Ondieki, the late Samuel Maina, Ebisiba, Nyang’anyi, Osumo, Moraa, Nyarinda and Kemunto. Brother in law of Beatrice, Alice, Dr. Ondieki, Begi, Obiri, Mong’are, Juma Mataiga Yunuke and Kennedy.

Cousin to Alfred, Richard, Patrick, Daniel and others. Uncle to Edna USA, Zipporah Bogonko USA. Bernard USA, Malach USA, Sammy UK, Marion USA and others. Korera to Francis Kareithi, Rose Kareithi and Godi Ndagala of Tanzania.

Daily meetings with family and friends are held at the Prisons Officers Mess at 5.30pm. The funds drive will be held on Tuesday 2nd may 2017 at the 680 Hotel from 5pm and at the Obwari home on the same day. The requiem service will be held on Wednesday 3rd May 2017 an Consolata Shrine Westlands at 2pm.

The cortege will depart Montezuma Funeral Home on Thursday 4th May 2017 at 8am for Nyamira. The burial will be held on Friday 5th May 2017 at Obwari Market Nyamira county.
