We, the family of the late James Mwangi Gacheru, wish to convey our deepest gratitude for the support that has been provided to us during tiiis most challenging period. We are very grateful and moved by the outpouring of love we have received.

Our heartfelt gratitude to his medical team at Nairobi Hospital; Dr Martin Wanyoike, Dr Elijah Njau, Dr Duncan Killingo, Dr Patrick Mbogua, Dr Muhindi Wanjogu, Dr M.D. Maina, Prof Symon Guthua, Prof Elly Ogutu, Dr Ndege Kinoti. Dr Beaverly Wasike, Dr Esther Munyoro and Dr Chacha, for the dedicated and devoted care they gave to James. We would like to recognize the nursing teams from St Teresa, Lady MacMillan, St Luke’s St John’s, St Francis. the renal ward, and the Critical Care Unit team that cared for James.

We appreciate Father Kizito and Father David of Nairobi Hospital, Father Joab, Father Labon, Father Michael Karanja, Father Lawrence, the Clergy at St John the Evangelist and Archbishop Peter Kairo for the spiritual support and love that you provided to James and his family. We thank you.

We appreciate James’s caregiver Maggie for her dedication and compassionate care that she provided to him, to his extended support team- Sarah, Wanjiru, Geraldine, Leah, Gitonga and Kuria. Thank you for your care and dedication to James

To every person who has provided support and guidance, has prayed for James and his family, stood with the family during this trying time, we appreciate you and may you be blessed.

Our beloved James, so loved, so missed, you will live forever in our hearts. May you rest in everlasting peace.

We the family of Prof. Everett Standa would like to thank everybody who immensely helped us during the sad demise of our beloved Prof. Standa.

We thank the organizing committee at Mahanga Village comprising of Dr. Noah Wekesa, Aggrey Sitati, Francis Sirengo, Godfrey Mutali, Suzanne Standa, Fredrick Wakhungu and others. The Nairobi organizing committee consisting of Nicholas Simani, Sharon Banda, Dr. Henry Chakava, Mrs. Mary Angore, Yolanda O’Regan and Maria Kituzi.

Much appreciation goes to The East African University, Kenyatta University, Mount Kenya University, Moi University, Kibabi University, Masinde Muliro University and members of the Academic Community, distinguished politicians and all the multitudes who turned up that day.

We appreciate the medical team led by Dr. Constantine Akwanalo of Transcare Eldoret, Dr. Bernard Gitura in Nairobi, Dr. Sarah Standa, Lugulu Mission Hospital Team and Delights funeral directors. The medical fraternity in Laikipia County, KMYWA Northrift, MUSOM 2012 and the Kenya Psychiatrists Association.

We also recognize all our relatives, cousins, uncles, aunties, in-laws and friends.

We would like to thank the Churches; Friends Church Sipala, Nairobi Baptist Church Ngong Road and Friends Church International Centre, Ngong Road Nairobi that encouraged us and held us together to the end.

We appreciate the medical team at Nairobi Hospital, Dr Gladwell Kiarie, Dr Martin Wanyoike, Dr Jean Kaggia, Dr. Thagana, Prof. Guthua, Dr Oluoch Olunya and Dr. Moniz. who diligently attended to Caroline. We also appreciate the doctors and nursing staff at The Nairobi Hospital wards and Cancer Center for their dedication to Caroline’s care.

We appreciate the support received from the All Saints Cathedral, who provided pastoral care throughout this period. We also appreciate the support from the Al Saints Karen Cell Group and the wider cathedral community, ACK St. John’s Kiamariga and Hillsong Perth.

Special thanks to the Law Society of Kenya and the wider legal fraternity, colleagues from KSPRAS SSK and the wider medical fraternity, the rugby fraternity, our Kenyan friends in Australia, the alumni groups of Kenya High School class of 1978, University of Nairobi Law School class of 1984 and Octamed.
