We deeply appreciate all those who came to mourn with us, prayed for us & supported us morally, spiritually & financially. Until his demise he worked with the National Police Service as the Traffic base commander Central Police Station Mombasa.

Special mention to the Regional police command coast, The OCPD Urban Mombasa and all colleagues of Luke at Central Police Station, Mr Johnstone Kavuludi former chairman of the National Police Service Commission, General superintendent Rev Patrick Lihanda and the entire PAG Church, Ziwani Assembly, Kisasi Assembly your presence and acts of kindness will forever remain in our hearts. We would like to express our sincere appreciation to all friends and relatives who stood with us in prayers, personal visits and acts of generosity as we laid him to rest on 5/11/2020. We are truly grateful to the funeral’s presiding S.D.A Church clergy — pastors Njue, Mwangi and Kiragu.

We also wish to convey our special gratitude to Muranga Governor Mwangi wa Iria, Assembly Speaker Nduati Kariuki, Madam Alice Gichu of The Office of the President, the D.C. Commissioner Madam Catherine, the County Agriculture Minister Albert Mwaniki, the A.C Commissioner James Kango, Royal Media representatives Waithira Muithirania and Njoroge Githinii, the master of ceremony and former Muranga C.C. chairman Cyrus Ruru, and senior politician P.M.G. Kamau, among others. Thanks to the medical staff, especially Dr. Moses, who enabled us get a bed at KUTRRH and, the funeral committee led by senior citizen Bedan Kahuthia.

We the children of Cot (Rtd) Peter N Ikenye formerly of Kenya Airforce announce the sudden death of Victor Karanja Ngugi Ikenye, a loving son, brother, cousin, nephew and a friend to many, which occurred on 29th October, 2020, due to short iliness. Victor was later interred at their family cemetery in Molo, Nakuru County.

We would like to sincerely express our gratitude for the incredible kindness and financial support accorded to us during this difficult period. To all our families and friends who called, visited or sent messages of condolences. Our deepest appreciation goes to first responder E-Plus Kenya, Nairobi and Molo funeral committees, Jokim Estate fraternity South B, through Mr & Mrs Joseph Kimani, former and current Kenya Airforce officers, Deloitte Kenya, Winners Chapel Nairobi, Victor’s friends, Montezuma & Mona Lisa Funeral Home, the Catholic and PCEA Churches for the prayers, to the IKENYE, KARANGI, SANG and KIMWELE families for your dedication and commitment and lastly to Col (Rtd) John Tonio Ngugi for giving our Dad physical and emotionally support. We the family of the late Mr. E.G. Muchai wish to convey our sincere gratitude to all who so selflessly supported us during the difficult time of our bereavement.

We would especially like to thank the ACK Cathedral Church of the Good Shepherd – Nakuru that led all the church meetings throughout the week and conducted the funeral service of Mr. E.G. Muchai on 30th October 2020. Thank you to all other churches that supported the family, namely, St Peter’s Kiamunyi Parish, St Joseph Kanyariri, St. Andrews Church- Nairobi, Karura Community Chapel, St. Emmanuel Church Muthure among others.

Many thanks to Kenya Anglican Men Association (KAMA) for the final respect you gave your former Chairman/ Secretary/Treasurer. We greatly appreciate the Funeral Organizing Committee that sat at Kiamunyi, Kanyariri and Vienna Woods Hotel in Nakuru to ensure Mr. Muchai received a befitting send off. We are also indebted to the community that was part of Dad’s Life: Pillars Group, Olive Inn, Roots Group and the Mt. Olivet Mtaa, who tirelessly and closely stood with us. We also appreciate, all those who attended to Dad during his illness: – Dr.Apondo of Nakuru, Doctors and Nursing staff at Valley Hospital and Nakuru Nursing Home. Special mention to the team at Umash Funeral Home for the dignity and care accorded to our Dad and to Moneva Agencies team that prepared Dad’s final resting place.

Since we are not able to Individually reach all those who came out to stand with us, please accept our appreciation for your support that enabled us give Dad a beautiful farewell. May the Lord repay you for what you have done. May you be richly rewarded by the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge. – Ruth 2.12
