Following the sad demise of our matriarch, Lydia Njeri Kihara, loving wife and mother, the Kihara family wishes to express our appreciation to those who supported us spiritually and financially through this trying time.

Your prayers and encouragement were invaluable. Special thanks go to the immediate and extended family. Thank you to ACK St. Peter’s Kahawa Sukari led by Rev. Canon Peter Maina, Mothers’ Union, KAMA, Cluster 4, ACK Riverside Mwihoko ACK St. Matthews Kinyaga. We also wish to express our gratitude to doctors and nurses who treated our beloved Lydia during her long illness.

We, the Family of the late Mrs. Irene Wamuhu Matu sincerely thank the Almighty God for the life He gave to our dear and beloved Mum. Our sincere gratitude and appreciation goes to everyone who stood with us during the difficult period of her hospitalization, demise and final send off on 26th June 2020.

Our heartfelt sincere gratitude goes to the entire Matu’s family, relatives, in-laws, and friends; for prayers, words of encouragement, moral, spiritual and financial support following the demise of our beloved mother. We were greatly touched by your kindness. In particular, we thank Joackim Catholic Church for leading and ministering during the funeral service befitting mum’s send off. We thank the chairman and organizing committee that ensured that everything was done well, rightfully and on time; the doctors and nurses of Nairobi Womens’ Hospital, the management of 4th Parklands Hotel, the Ex General Motors family and Roadrunner group.

We, the family of the late Charity Kanyeche Maingi, extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our relatives, friends and colleagues for the overwhelming support offered to us during the periods of Mum’s hospitalization, treatment and final send off.

We would like to especially thank all the doctors and nurses who worked tirelessly to treat Mum including Prof Kayima, Dr Mnene, Dr Okioma, Dr Twahir, Dr Ruturi, Dr Sokhi, Nurse Juma and the entire Renal Unit at the Nairobi Hospital. Our special appreciation also goes to Bishop Mwaluda, Rev. Munengi Mulandi, Rev. Nick Korir, Retired Rev. Wanjau and Rev. Kitawi Mwandhaghina who led us in celebrating our beloved Mother. We thank Nairobi Baptist Church– Ngong Road, Nairobi Chapel – Ngong Road and ACK St Stephen Church -Mole for providing us with spiritual nourishment and praying for her and with us.

We would like to thank the political leadership from Taita Taveta county, Kwale county and Kilifl county led by Hon Dr Naomi Shaban, Hon Chirau Ali Mwakwere, Hon Joyce Lay, Hon Jones Mlolwa and Hon Gideon Mung’aro for standing with us. We would also like to thank her former colleagues from HFCK; our Primary, High School and University Alumni for also supporting us beyond measure.
