We are saddened to announce the passing on of Bishop Daniel Mbiti of Kings Embassy Christian Fellowship, which happened on the 14th of August 2020 after a short illness. His body was laid to rest at his home in Mbooni West, Wambuli Village on 17th August 2020.

Husband to Rev. Rebecca Kanini Mbiti of Kings Embassy Christian Fellowship. He was a father to Victor Mbiti, John Mbiti, Joshua Mwendwa Mbiti, all three living and working in America, Rev. Samuel Mbiti of Kings Embassy Christian Fellowship Machakos, and Peter Mbiti working with Dell Technologies. He was Father in Law to Kari Mbiti, Marissa Mwendwa, Alice Mathu, Maryanne Kyalo and Faith Mbiti. He is survived by ten grandchildren namely; Corey Howard, Quinten Howard, Katanu Grace Mwendwa, Noah Kyalo Mwendwa, Kimari Kanini Mbiti, Nathaniel Mwendwa Kyalo, Brayan Kyama Kyalo, Amy Pendo Kyalo, Aylee Kanini Mbiti and Ian Muuo Mbiti.

Daniel Mbiti previously worked with Kenya Commercial Bank and upon retirement partnered with DOVE Christian Fellowship International where he served the Lord diligently. He was the Presiding Bishop of Kings Embassy Christian Fellowship. Bishop Daniel Mbiti fought the good fight of faith, He finished his course and now awaits his Crown of glory. We bless God for a life well lived.

As Mbiti’s family, we wish to extend our sincere gratitude to all our relatives, friends, committees, various church groups and organizations for the overwhelming support offered to us during our beloved Husband. Father, Bishop, Brother, Uncle, Grandfather and friend’s final farewell. We thank those who managed to attend his funeral in Wambuli Village, Itetani Sub-Location,Tulimani Location, Mboonl West Sub-County, Makueni Courny. We also thank those who managed to follow his final journey from various places in and out of country through Face Book live streaming. Thank you for your love and support during our difficult time. We really appreciate your thoughtfulness, sympathy, and your overwhelming messages and words of comfort Since it is not possible to individually thank all the people who selflessly gave to our family In terms of messages of condolence, tributes, prayers and most generous financial support throughout this period, we can only ,humbly request that you accept this acknowledgment as our token of appreciation. We, the Family of the late Mrs Veronica Wairimu Kariuki sincerely thank the Almighty God for the life He gave to our dear and beloved wife and mum. Our sincere heartfelt gratitude goes to the entire James Kariuki’s family, relatives, in-laws, and friends; for visitation, prayers and words of encouragement, moral, spiritual and financial suppor upon the demise of Mama Kuria.

Special appreciation goes to the members of St. Joseph the Worker for their prayers during mum’s illness and neighbours at Upendo Court, Uhuru IV for their quick response. We thank Fr. Paul Wanyoro (Gathundia Catholic Church), for leading and ministering at the funeral service befitting mum’s send off. Our gratitude goes to the CWA of St Joseph the Worker (Jericho) and St. Raphael SCC, (Tumaini), the leadership teams and priests for condoling with us and for continued prayers. We thank the Organising Committees both in Tumaini, Plot 4 and Nairobi, and Msimano that ensured everything was done well, rightfully and on time.

Many thanks go to Institutions and Groups that offered their support and services to us.
