It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing to glory of our beloved patriarch Fredrick Hongo Awitty on the 19th of April 2021 after a long illness bravely borne.

Loving husband of Josephine Ruth Awitty of Kisumu Kapuonja and the late Rahab Ayuma of Kakamega, Ikolomani. Son of the late Petro Awitty Olongo and the late Marcela Omondi Awitty of Kisumu Karateng. Son-in-law of the late Joseph Yogo Odalo and the late Damaris Agalo Yogo of Kisumu Kapuonja. Beloved father of Pauline Awitty, Carolyn Awitty, Kevin Awitty, Vincent Awitty, Kings Kennedy Omondi, Raymond Awitty, Tony Awitty, Ovin Awitty and Sharon Awitty. Father-in-law of Esther Kalawe Awitty, Mina Kabura Awitty, Angeline Ojwang and Carol Mugalla.

Devoted brother of the late Shem Okeyo, Jacob Awitty and the late Maurice Odum. Brother-in-law of the late Grace Otieno, Everlyne Akello, Fredrick Yogo, the late Margaret Atieno, the late Anyango, the late Adhiambo, Margaret Awitty and Mary Odum. Doting grandfather of Joshua, Joseph, Thando, Dahlia and Breaden.

There will be a fundraising to offset the medical bill and funeral expenses at ICC Nairobi Church on Sunday, 25 April 2021 from 2:30 pm to 3:30pm. Contributions can be made to PaybIll No: (8023743). Acc No: (Name of Sender).

Funeral service will held at ICC Nairobi Church on Wednesday 28th April, 2021 from 2.00pm to 3:00pm and the service will be streamed live on Youtube.

Fred will be laid to rest at his home in Kisumu Karateng. There will be strict adherence to Covid 19 restrictions and protocols.

The first born son of the late Mr. Paul Njoroge Wainaina and the late Pauline Njoroge Mukami. Brother of Lucy Njeri Castle, the late Mary Wanjiru, Peter Mwangi, John Kamau, Jane Warema, Francis Kariuki, Benard Wabari, Sammy Thuku, Regina Wangare, Susan Wambui, the late Thomas Wakuru and Martin Marera.

An uncle, cousin and mentor of many.

Requiem Masses for the repose of his soul will be celebrated in all parishes in the diocese on Saturday 24th April, 2021, at 3.00pm.

The funeral mass will be held on Monday, 26th April, 2021, at Christ the King Cathedral – Nakuru, at 10:00am and interment at Bahati Clergy Cemetery.

It is with deep grief and sorrow that we humbly accept God’s will and announce the demise of our beloved Emily Musinda Banda which occurred on 20th April, 2021 at Coast General Hospital in Mombasa County. Until her untimely death she was serving as Senior Assistant Administration Officer II at the Agriculture and Food Authority (Sugar Directorate), Mombasa.

Beloved wife of Jonesmus Mtawali Mwambire. Adoring mother of Immaculate Kache, Grayson Ndundi and Mary Kadii. Emily was beloved daughter of Mr. Anthony Banda and Mrs. Margret Banda of Chilulu, Kilifi South Sub County, Kilifi County. She was sister to Linah Mupa Banda, Simon Ledlah Banda and Gideon Kufanga Banda.

The burial will be held on Saturday 24th April 2021 at home in Mwazang’ombe Village, Kilifi North Sub County, Kilifi. All Covid- 19protocols as issued by Government to be observed during the final rites

Daughter-in-law of Simon Kinaro and Elizabeth Wairimu. Sister-in-law of Charles Waithaka, James Mwangi, Fabian Ndegwa ,Rachael Wangeci, Naomi Muthoni Mwangi and Jackline Ndunge Waithaka. A cousin and aunt to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at her home in Kasarani sports drive estate and in Mwiki for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege Leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Saturday 24th April 202 at 6. 00am. She will be laid to rest at their rural home in Kavuru, Kiringa Sub-location, Embu County.

Son of the late John Ndiritu Kimondo and Mary Muthoni Ndiritu. Loving Husband of Dainah Mukenyi. Father of Mr & Mrs Samuel Nderitu, Mr & Mrs John Thuo, Mr & Mrs Andrew Findanis (Australia) and Mr & Mrs Simon Kogi. Grandfather of Jewel, Joseph, Amelia, Roman, Emmanuel, Israel, Akil and Zuri.

Loving brother of the late Peter Gichohi, Veronica Wanjiru, Teresa Njoki, Francis Wachira, the late Florence Nyiha, Irene Mirigo and Cleopatra Gachigi.

Mr Mirichu shall be laid to rest on Tuesday 27/04/2021, at his Kamulu Farm.

He was a brother to Gladys Wamuyu, late Elizabeth Gaits, Campbell Kambo, Isaac Waithaka, Lympiah Gichuki, the late Josephine Njeri Karongo, Winfred Wanjaria and Rashid Mugane. Brother in law to Christopher Gikunju, Job Gain, Beatrice Wahu, Jane Wanjiku, the late Christopher Wanjaria, the late Festus Karongo and Jecinta Kanini.

The Cortege leaves Tumutumu Mission Hospital on Tuesday 27th April 2021 at 9.00 Am. The Service will be held at Ngimaini PCEA Church at 10.30 Am followed by burial at his farm in Ngimaini village, Mukurweini Subcounty, Nyeri County. Son of the late Mr & Mrs Joseph Mindo wa Ngari and husband of Julia Wambura Kiama of Kang’aruahiiya, Kagio; Kirinyaga County. Brother of the late Margaret Micere Gacu and the late Muthoni.

Loving father of Gibson Murimi, Jane Gicheru, Gladys Kamau, Mary Nyaga, Joseph Wanjohi, Lilian Baya, Grace Mwangala and James Muriuki. Father-in-law of Rhoda Murimi, Eric Gicheru, Reuben Kamau, Chris Nyaga, Lucy Wanjohi, Lenny Baya, Ben Mwangala and Francisca Muriuki.

Son-in-law of the late Mr & Mrs Gerald Muriithi of Kerugoya. The cortege leaves ACK Mount Kenya Funeral Home Kerugoya on Monday, 26th April, 2021 at 8.00am for a funeral service at the Salvation Army Kang’aru Primary School grounds and burial at his home thereafter. All COVID 19 protocols to be observed.
