H. E. Susan Chepkoech Kikwai

His Excellency, the Governor, Prof. Paul Kiprono Chepkwony, the entire staff and the Executive of the County Government of Kericho wish to express our deepest and heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives and friends of the late H. E. Susan Chepkoech Kikwai, OGW, Deputy Governor of Kericho County. We celebrate your hard work and devotion to humanity. We will forever appreciate your commitment and passion to uplift the lives of the residents of Kericho through various economic initiatives key among them One Ward, One Product.

Susan was an accomplished career civil servant with exemplary performance both in public service and later in politics. She served as the Managing Director at the Kenya Investment Authority from 2005-2012. During her stint at the authority, she was instrumental in attracting domestic, regional and international investments.

In 2007, she was awarded the Order of the Grand Warrior (OGW) by H. E. President, Mwai Kibaki for her stellar performance in investment promotion. In 2008, she was unanimously elected as the President of African Investment Promotion Agency Network (AfriPAnet) by 45 African countries.

She also served in several boards including Vision 2030 Delivery Board, Export Promotion Council and Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).

Susan was passionate about women leadership and was always ready to fight for what she believed in no matter the cost. She mentored many women through her transformative women leadership programs at the Council of Governors.

We will dearly miss you Susan but you will remain forever in our hearts.

Daughter of Grace Wambui Zachariah and the late Zachariah Githaiga. Sister of Wahome (Nairobi), Alice (Eldoret), Faith (Nairobi), Kingori (Omega Hardware), Ibrahim (Kenya Navy), Sammy (Selection Hardware), Shaddy (Lahisi Hardware), Dan( Eldoret pride Electronics) Nyawira (Collection hardware) Mother of Zachariah Githaiga (Jaza Hardware) and Evans Rwengo (Eldoret University). Mother-in-law of Sharon Githaiga. Grandmother of Talia Wanjiru, Liam Rwengo and many others. Cousin and Aunt to many.

The cortege leaves Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Mortuary, on Tuesday 23rd March, 2021, at 9.00am for funeral service and burial at home Kimuri Farm on the same day.

Covid-19 guidelines and protocols will be observed.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rose Gathoni Mwangi, on 16th March, 2021, of Mihuti Village Mukurwe-ini.

She was the loving wife of Charles Mwangi Gakomo formerly of Kenya Breweries and mother to John, the late Lucy Waigumo, Macharia, Bancy, Judy and Wairimu.

She was daughter to the late Elijah Kaara and the late Esther Wanja. Sister to the late Ngugi Elijah, the late Wairimu Elijah and the late Riitho Elijah.

Mother-in-law to the late Kahoya, Rose Gathoni Esther and Elizabeth.

Grandmother to Rose, Doreen, Mwangi, Nduro, Brenda, Pepies, Ngina, Bobo, Natasha, Jaiden and Great-Grandma to many.

The cortege will leave Mukurweini District Hospital Mortuary, on Wednesday 24th March at 9.00am to PCEA Mihuti Church for the funeral service at 10.00am and thereafter an internment at her home in Muthambi Mihuti Village.
