Mother to the late Regina Syevutha, Beatrice Syonzau, the late George Kimwele, David Mbaki, Beatrice Kalekye, the late Anthony Kiema, the late Josephat Mutua, Margaret Mbesa, the late Regina Kavata and Amb. Ngovi Kitau.

Sister to the late Kamene, late Kangangi, late Kalee Maithya, late Kinyatta Mutia, step sister to Muasya Mutia, late Syovata and Nambi

Mother in law to the late Munyao Kathongo, the late Samuel Mutisya, the late Ruth Kimwele, Teresia Mbaki, Mary Mbaki, James Kitumwa, Josephine Kiema, Josephine Mutua, late Lucy Mutua, Omar Haji and Wangari Ngovi.

Friends and relatives will be meeting every day from December 7, 2020 at her home in Ithookwe for prayers and final preparations for her send off.

The cortege shall leave Tribute Funeral Home on 10/12/2020 at 10.00 am for funeral service at ACK all Souls Church Ithookwe and thereafter burial at her home in Ithookwe village, Tungutu sub-location, Kyangwithya west location in Kitui county.

It is with a heavy heart and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Zipporah Wangechi Kanyugo after a short illness. For many years, Zipporah worked with the Ministry of Tourism, Nairobi and later as a Commercial Attaché for the EU and was based in Switzerland. Lately, she was estate manager for H&K in Nyeri town. She hailed from Tetu (Wamugo), Nyeri County.

She was a dear daughter of the late Rufus Kanyugo Keireri and late Hildah Hiuko Kanyugo. Loving and caring mother of Grace Waruiru and Eric Luguya of Washington DC. Dear sister of Mary and Dr. Francis Kariuki, Marion Wambaire, Salome Njeri, Naomi Njoki, Amos Keireri and Elizabeth, Lucy Wanjiru, Agnes and Jim Thuku, Stephen Mwaniki and Jane Wanjiku. Dear aunt to Nick and Esther Kanyugo, Dr. Catherine and Bill Nyuthe, Martin and Jennifer, Caroline Wambui, Angela Kariuki, Antony Kariuki, Derrick, Jessica Njamiu, Waweru Thuku, Ivy Wairimu, Hiuko Mwaniki and Nduta Thuku.

Father-in-law of Lucy, Elizabeth, Josephine, Dorcas, Catherine, Emmah, Jonathan and Kang’e Mc. Grandfather of Naomi, Lindsay, Samuel, Nicholas, Kelvin, Lilian, Angel, Jasmine, Gideon, Victor, Patience, Chloe, Luther, Nimrod, Noel. Great Grandfather of Taji.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home, Kwa Loa Village for burial preparations.

There will be a celebration service on Tuesday 8th December, 2020 at his home Kwa Loa Village.

She was sister to Maggie, Hellen, the late Kepha, Timothy & Jane, Freida & Mumo, Anne & David, Njeri & Kairo and Shiru. She was auntie to Muthoni & Maina, Waithera, Ndush, Njoki and Waithera, Warren and Wendy, Bradley and Hawii, Maya, Darian and Ivanna, Candy and Colleen, Elvis and Chelsea and grand auntie to Lyanna.

Meetings are taking place at her parent’s home in Nyaga Village and Shuhan Hotel, Thika from 6pm daily.

The cortege will leave KU Referral Hospital Mortuary on December 10, 2020 at 7am for burial at her home in Rukanga, Sagana.

Doting mother of Simon, Mary, Josephine, Samson, the late Gideon, Benjamin and the late Harrison. Mother-in-law of Mercy, Anthony, Peter, Carol and Alice.

The eldest and an admired sister of Rebecca, Reuben, the late Esther, Martha and Joyce. Sister-in-law of the late Sammy Mbevi, Ruth, late David Mwau, Nathan, David, the late Rael, Beatrice, the late Peter and Sammy. Loving grandmother of Kelvin, Tony, Ian, the late Carol, Steve, Mercy, Joan, Dennis,Victor, Muli, Mutheu,Timothy and Abigail and great grandmother of Levi. Guardian of Muuo, Mbithe and Kioko.

The cortege leaves MP Shah Hospital Mortuary on Thursday 10th December, 2020 at 8.00am. The Requiem Mass will be held at Our Lady of Rosary Catholic Church starting at 10.00 a.m. Interment will follow thereafter at Kiahuria, Juja Constituency

Grandmother to Fredrick Mutisya, Charles, Mbithi, Joel Michael, Mainga, Syokau, Mwende, Elsie Zawadi, Kennedy Kasyoki, Janet and Faith among others. Great-grandmother to Evans, Joshua, Vanessa Caleb and Rita. Mother-in-law to Damaris Ngina Musyoka, Christine Nyamasyo, Kamene Mutinda, and Catherine Mutinda.

Preparation meetings are currently going on at her home in Nzeveni, Mbooni and at Kenchic Hotel (Opposite Standard Bank) Machakos Town.

Burial ceremony will be held on December 11th 2020 at her home in Nzeveni village, Mbooni Makueni County.

She was sister in-law to Sarah Kalintu, Sabina Mwari, Francis Kilemi, Joseph Muchiri, James Thiane, Eunice Kanario, Bernard Kibunjia & Sarah Wanjiku. She was Step mother to Christine Marete, Kimathi Marete, Mutuma Marete, Caroline Marete and Emmanuel Marete.

The cortege leaves Thika Level 5 Mortuary on Wednesday   9th December 2020 at 5:30am for a funeral service & burial at her husband’s home in Tigania, Meru County.
