It is with humble acceptance and God’s will that we sadly announce the untimely death of Dorcas Wanja Mungai fondly known as (Corkie) after a short illness.

She was the beloved daughter of Joseph Kibe Mungai and Alice Wanjiku Mungai. She was the adored sister to Sarah Mungai, Judy Mungai and Eng. Moses Mungai. Sister in law to Rein Gomes and John Christensen. Loving Aunty to Theo Kibe Christensen and Alba Wanjiku Christensen. She was the grand daughter of the late Moses Mungai Kibe and late Tabitha Wanja Mungai. Niece to Mary Waithaka, Priscilla Waringa, Naomi Wangui and John Mucuca.

Family members and friends are meeting daily for prayers and burial arrangements at the family home in Buruburu Estate Phase 3, Maungu court Hse no 353 and at their country home, Kimunyu Village in Gatundu, along Kenyatta Road, from 3pm.

The cortege will leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home (By pass) on Friday 4th Dec 2020 at 8:00am. Funeral Service and Burial will be held at the family farm in Kimunyu Village, Gatundu along Kenyatta road on Friday 4th Dec 2020.

Brother of Silas Murithi Mbae, Isaac Kiogora Mbae, Paul Mwiti Mbae, Godfrey Mutuma Mbae, Peter Kinyua, Julius Bundijohn Muriungi, Gerald Mwirigi, Gilbert Mwiti, Jane Muthoni, Evangeline Gaiti, the late Anastashia Kinanu, Grace Kawira, Salome Kathure, Lucy Juria, Martha Gakii and Lydia Kagendo. Grandfather of Zane Israel Muthomi.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Kionyo Market and Gaatia Home, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Chogoria Hospital Mortuary on Friday 4th December, 2020 at 10.00am for burial at his home in Kibaka Village Kithangari Sub-location in Meru County.

John Mburu and Charity Mburu, Wanjiku and the late Ngugi Ndahi, Rose Wangui and the late Mwangi, Alice and John Jukes, Rev. Nahashon Gichuru and Tabitha Gichuru. Family and friends will be meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday and Friday (3rd and 4th December, 2020) at 5:30pm-6:30pm.

Funeral service will be held in Kirwara, Gatanga, Murang’a County on 7th December, 2020 at 11:00am. In line with Covid-19 Protocol.

The cortege leave Kenyatta Memorial Funeral home (Kamae, by pass side) on 3rd December 2020 at 7.00 am for burial at lthe- Kahuno, Tetu Nyeri. Burial service will be held at Thageini P.C.E.A church Gura Parish. He will be laid to rest at his home Karo Village Ithe Kahuno Nyeri County.

Beloved brother Cllr. She was the daughter in law of Jometherk Muoki & Pauline Mwongeli and granddaughter in law of the late Joseph Kaloki & Esther Kamene from Miumbuni village, Mitaboni sub location, Machakos County. She was sister to George, Victor & Joy and sister in law to Mumbua, Mwende & Kitaka. She was Niece to Mwendwa, Mumo, Ngumbau, Kamene, Martha, Mwende, Mutile, Loise, Kyondo among others and niece in law to the late Mweu, Kitonga, Rose, Lynn, Rosetinah, Bernice & Tabitha. She was Cousin to many.

In line with his wishes, he was laid to rest at a private ceremony In Embu on Saturday November 28th. 2020.
