It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing away of our dearest Mum Nancy Wambui Maina Gatete which occurred on the 30th November 2020 at Nairobi Women’s Hospital.

Beloved wife of the late Henry Maina Gatete. A dear daughter of the late Francis Kamau Runge and the late Mama Milka Wanjiku Kamau. Most adored mother of Peter Muiruri Gatete, Rebecca Wangui Gatete, Lydiah Kwamboka Gatete (Nairobi City County Attorney), Andrew Kamau Gatete, Ruth Kamau Gatete, Edward Mburu Gatete, Elizabeth Mburu Gatete, John Patrick Mwangi Gatete, Sally Mwangi.

She was a sister to the late Mwangi, the late Gichango, the late Mukuha, the late Kireka, the late Muthua, the late Alice Muthoni and Njuguna. Nancy was a grandmother to the late Henry Maina Gatete, Mary Karugi Maina, Barbara Wambui Gatete, Jimmy Masila Musyoki, Sean Maina Gatete, Nikitta Wambui Gatete, Sheila Wambui Kamau, Henry Maina Kamau, Elaine Wambui Mburu, Eugene Henry Maina, Lee Waruingi, Sean Mwiruri. She was great grandmother to Dimitri Maina Gatete, Katya Wangui Gatete and little Henry Musyoki Masila. She was a sister-in-law to Edward Mburu Gatete among others.

Meeting are being held every day at Woodley Estate House No: 105/12 from 5:30 pm.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on 8th December 2020 at 7.00 a.m and will be laid to rest at her home in Kamahuha, Muranga County.

Brother to Lawrence Gichinga, Moses Ngugi, the late Edith Wanjiru, Leah Wambui, Grace Muthoni, Paul Kimani, the late Godfrey Gitau, the late Mary Waithira and Anderson Njuguna.

Step-brother to Doris Wambui, James Karanja Nyoro (Governor Kiambu County), Beatrice Muthoni, Jane Wangui, Geoffrey Karu, the late Joseph Ngugi, Serah Wanjiku and Lilian Wambui.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru, on Friday 04/12/2020, at 8:00am. Prayers and funeral service to follow at his residence in Tumaini Location Kanjuiri Ward, Olkalau Constituency Nyandarua County.

Son of the late Sasine Ole Ntoyosi Pardiret and Sampei Pardiret. Step-son of the late Nantea Ene Sasine, Ilato Ene Sasine and the late Naisinoi Ene Sasine. A loving husband of Margaret Sekeyian, Salome Siteto, Eliza Nkamunu. Brother of Samuel Moyaki, Kokoyian Kusero, John Tentemo (Commissioner NPSC), Nentoker Kiok, Nemolel Sinaret, Julius Pardiret, Kaayia Konchella, Rehema Sancha, David Mokinyo, Marisian Mopei.

A step-brother of many. A beloved father of Joyce Saitoti, Leah Alina Ntiaki, Jennifer Kaloi, Benson Murero, Alice Teeka, Hellen Ng’usur, Susan Kamam, Eunice Ntunini ene Kakompe, Esther Ene Kakompe, Mary Nemwosambi lanai, Peter Rorwa Moses Kakompe Kakompe, Tonkei Kakompe, Kelvin Wuantai Kakompe, Josephine Nashipae, Sereya Kakompe, Sancha Kakompe, Ole Sasine Moyaki Simayo Kakompe, Sanare Kakompe, Pisoi Kakompe. He is survived by 15 grandchildren.

A requiem mass will be held at ICC Church Mombasa Road on 8th Dec,2020 at 10.00am and a fundraiser to support his family on the same day at 4.00p.m at All Saints Cathedral. Step-brother of the late Wangui Muthiora, Kihara Muthiora, Gakong’u, Wairimu, Mukora Muthiora and many others.

Loving father of the late Nancy Njoki, Susan Numia (Limuru), Ambassador Njambi Kinyungu (Ministry of Foregn Affairs), Owen Muthiora (USA), Martin Magu (USA), David Mburu (Limuru), Paul Muigai (USA), Dr. Ngugi Mukora Kinyungu (USA) and Daniel Kiarie Limuru). Father-in-law of Ben, Githuku, Wilhemina, Michelle, Njeri, Melisa and Fridah. Doting grandfather of Kinyungus, Nyamburas and many others. Caring uncle to numerous, colleague and friend to many.

The cortege leaves PCEA Kikuyu Funeral home at 8.00am on Friday 4th December, 2020. Funeral Service will be at PCEA Karamba-lni Church (near Limuru Girls School) at 10.00am. Thereafter burial at his home in Tigoni.

She was Daughter of Senior Superintendent of Police Simon Warui and Naomi Wangui Warui of Kangaita,Tetu Nyeri.

She was a sister to Monica Warui (ChinaTv), Caroline Njambi (office of the Auditor General) and Fredrick Mureithi (KU University).

She was a niece to many and Aunty to Anaya Wangui.

Family and friends are meeting daily at Castle Gardens Thika Rd from 5pm and at her parents’ home in Nyeri Kangaita for the burial arrangements.

The cortege leaves KU Funeral Home at 8am on 4th December 2020 for funeral and burial service at her parents’ home in Kangaita Nyeri.

Brother of the late Prof. George Eshiwani, the late Beatrice Amunga, Howard Aloyo, the late Jimmy Sharanda, Margret Malau, the late Augustine Okello, David Omusula Aloyo and Florah Atsango Aloyo. Loving husband of Nellie Ayuma Luchemo. An adoring/doting father of Mrs. Pam Luchemo Anyanga, (Principal-Muhaka Secondary School-Kwale County), Mrs. Dolly Luchemo-Mwanzia (Minister/Author, USA), Mrs. Linda Luchemo Mbithi (Nakuru), Brenda Luchemo (Advocate Nairobi), Sylvia Y. Funeral arrangements are being made at his home in Ebuluma, Kisa Central.

The cortege will leave Coptic Funeral Home, on Friday 4th December, 2020. Burial will be on Saturday 5th December, 2020 at his home Ebuluma, Khwisero Sub-county.
