It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Joshua Ndavi Matheka of Nakuru Rural Water and Sanitation Company Ltd that occurred on Wednesday 11th November 2020 at Nairobi West Hospital after a long illness.

Son of the late David Matheka Mui and the late Agnes Muthembwa Matheka of Kiteta Mbooni East. Loving husband of Judith Mwende Ndavi (Machakos level 5 hospital). Loving father of Angela Katali (MKU University), late Sammy Kyalo, Teresa Nduku (KCA University), late Simon Matheka and John Mui (Machakos Pri. Sch.). Brother of Ruth Nthei, Dr. Makau Matheka, Anna Nzilani, Benard Mutua (Bayer EA), Nundu Mutunga,Wanza Michael, James Mutungi and Kalume Musembi. Brother in-law of Josephine Makau (Mutituni level 4 Hospital), Juliana Mutua (Ministry of Livestock), Pauline Mutungi and Damaris Musembi. Son in-law of Titus Kimanzi and Veronica Mukai (Kitui). Nephew and uncle to many.

The cortege leaves Montezuma funeral home on Wednesday 18/11/2020 at 8:00am for a mass at Our Lady of Fatma Catholic Church Katoloni at 11:00am, and burial thereafter at his Vota home near kwa Katheke Pri. Sch.

Son of the Late Mungai Kiumba and the Late Miriam Muthoni of Milangine Scheme, Milangine Sub-County, Nyandarua County. Husband of Juliah Njoki and Anastasia Njoki. Father of Muthoni, Wangui, Wambui, Wangari, the Late Anthony, Peter, Caroline, Benson, Catherine and Ruth. He was brother of Ruth Wambui Kuria, Late Ndungu, John and Margaret Warui, Margaret and Jackson Kababura, Jane and the Late Stephen Kinyaga, Mary and John Muchiri, and Anne and David Machua. Grandfather of 21 grandchildren, uncle and cousin of many.

Funeral meetings are taking place in his homes in Mahindu-Milangine and Kiamunyeki-Nakuru.

The cortege leaves War Memorial Hospital Mortuary Nakuru on Friday 20/11/2020 at 8 am for Funeral service and burial at his home in Milangine, Nyandarua County.

It is with sadness and with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of John Gitonga M’Nabea of Nkoroi, Ongata Rongai which occurred on 11th November at the Karen Hospital after a long illness bravely borne. He hailed from Kaaga Village, Meru County.

Son of the late of M’Nabea M’Mutema and the late Salome Mukiri. Loving husband of Grace Muthoni and father of Rosemary Mwendwa, Colin Mwongera and Josephine Nyanjiru. Father-in-law of Purity Muthoni and Chris Hatch and a doting Babu of Rahel Grace, Kaleb Gitonga, Imani Wanjiru and Raeli Wangari. Brother of Zipporah Mukami, the late Muthuri, M’Mugambi, Ndumba, Julia, Kinaitore, and Mwari. Son-in law of the late Charles Rurigi and late Josephine Nyota. He was brother-in-law of late Gathithi, Mbiyu, Mirie, Isaac, and of Eunice, Jane, Paul, David, Esther, Annie, Jessie, Nancy and Njeri Mburu.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral home on Thursday 19th November at 9.00 am to the Lang’ata Cemetery for the funeral service and interment at 10.30 am.

Funeral arrangements are on-going at his Nkoroi residence.

Loving husband of Alice Wambui. Father of Anabel Wanjiku Muti and Andrew Njoroge Mutl. Brother of Joel Githiri Njoroge (UK), Catherine Wambui Kariuki and Antony Muhia Njoroge. Brother-In-Law of Janet Githiri (UK), QS Peter Simon Kariuki (PSK), Keziah Muhia of PCEA Head Office, Stephen Klnyanjui (Bingwa), Charles Ndirangu and Esther Wangui among others.

Friends and family are meeting at his residence in Picken Gardens along Njathaini Road off Kiambu Road, near Starehe Girls and at the Parents’ home in Nyaga Village, Kwamaiko starting at 4.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Mortuary along Thika Super Highway on Thursday 19th November, 2020 at 9.00am for a funeral service at Nyaga PCEA Church grounds.

He was the son of the late Benson Maingi Kuhutha and the late Beatrice Nyambura Maingi and brother of Margaret Wambui Wanyeki, Joyce Njeri Maina, the late Nancy Wangatho (Wacu) Maingi, Nelson Macharia Maingi, Gibson Kuria Maingi, Grace Waithira Maingi, the late Edward Mwangi Maingi and Benson Kabiru Maingi. Loving grandfather of Nathaniel Kuhutha Maingi, Jenny Njeri Njoroge and Ethen Myles.

Prayer meetings are going on daily at the family home in Umoja II Estate whereas funeral arrangement meetings are at Bowling Green Restaurant (City Park Parklands) from 4:00 pm and at the family home in Gitui, Kahuhia in Murang’a County from 6:00pm.

He served in the office of the president as an Assistant Minister in charge of Internal Security, Member of Parliament of the greater Kipkelion and Chairman of Muhoroni Sugar Company. He also served as the Managing Director of National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB).The late Hon.Kikwai also served as the Deputy Managing Director of Kenya Farmers Association (KFA). He served in several capacities as a senior officer in the Ministry of AgIriculture.

He was the loving husband of Milcah Jelagat Barmasai. Beloved father to Nathan Kipkemboi-businessman, Gloria Lang’at of National Bank, Grace Cheptoo of White Lillies Weddings and Events, Steven Kibet of Kisii University, Julie Jemutai of Garden Picks, Emmanuel Kiprotich of Moi University, and Moses Kipchirchir of Kenya Wildlife Service. He was father-in-law to Carole Muriuki, Kenneth Lang’at, Edwin Cheptoo, and Winnie Cheptoo. He was a doting grandfather to Corrine and Natalie Kemboi, Sharlene and Kigen Cheptoo, Keilah, Kibet and Gayle Lang’at, Andrew and Karen Katah, and Adriana Barmasai. He was the loving brother to Tabarno Shokwei, Benjamin Kipturn, Alice Chebasa, the late Samuel Klboit, Eric Kiptanui, the late Wallace Kipkoech, Rael Jepkorir, and Esther Barchok.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his home in Chopkorio farm, Ngerla, Uasin Gishu County.

The burial will take place at his home In Chepkorio farm, Uasin Gishu County, on the 20th of November, 2020.

She will forever be remembered and dearly missed by her family, relatives and friends.
