Son of the late James Mwangi Ngeru and the Late Grace Wangari Mwangi. Beloved husband of Mary Wanjiku Ngeru. Father of James Mwangi,Ann Wangari, Lydia Wanjiru, Eunice Njango, Alice Nyanjiru and Gladys Nyambura Brother and brother in love of many. Grandfather of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence Thindigua Estate, Kiambu Road at 4:00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home (Rwaka/Ruiri Bypass) on Tuesday 24th November 2020 at 9:00am, for a funeral service at P.C.E.A Thindigua Church at 11:00am thereafter, a burial ceremony will be at his residence in Thindigua Estate.

Sister-in-law of Mutisya, the late Munyao, Philip, the late Bonface Nzomo, Grace and the late Martha King’oo among others. Grand mother of Sarah, Eunice, Samantha, Ian, Ivy, Mark, Alvin, Wendy, Lampard among others. Great grandmother of Pinky, Solin and Myles.

She will be laid to rest on 20th Nov 2020 after a Holy Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Church Ng’onda at 11.00am.

Loving father of the late Glory Wanja Kanyi, Faith Angela Kanyi (France) & Hosanna Kanyi (Canada). Son-in-law of late Ndungu & Muthoni Kinuthia. Brother of the late Gichuru, Kimunyi & Wanjiru, Wambugu (Karindi) & John Kanyi (Juja). Brother in law of Lucy (Naro Moru) late Muthoni, late Mwangi, Purity & Grace (Karindi); late Mugure, late Kinuthia, Wanjiku (Karatina), Nduta(Mangu), Kihiko & Hellen (Thika) among others.

There will be a memorial service at Thika High School Chapel, Thika on Tuesday 17/11/2020 at 9 a.m.

The cortege leaves Same Day Class Mates Funeral Home Sega on Friday 20/11/20. There will be a memorial service at his home in Buburi Village in Samia on Friday 20th from 4:30 pm.

The burial will take place on Saturday 21/11/20 at his home in Neyayo Village Rumbiye Sublocation, Busia County.

The late Mzee Elijah Njiru was born on 15th May 1936 and was the only son of the late Ibrahim and the late Elizabeth Munene of Kiritiri, Mbeere. He was a loving husband to the late Judith Njiru and Naleah Mbuya Njiru. He was father to the late Michael Munene and Serah Munene, Charity Njiru, James Nyaga Maganjo, Nancy Ngithi Ngare of the UN and Peter Ngare, Lydia Muthoni and Peter Njoroge of Freeland Graphic Designers, Robert Kibuti, Peninah Njoki, Sub-County Administrator, Kitui County and John Munyao NG-CDF Muranga, Dorothy Mumbu, Deputy principal at The Arch Angels Kanyueri and Andrew Karani, of the Ministry of Public Works, Kitui County, Kellen Ngui and Nyaga Mbungu, Esther Njiru Omulele, Managing Partner at MMCASAFO and Hon. Christopher Omulele MP Luanda Constituency, Simon Njue and Nancy Njue, Lincoln Mwaniki and Hellen Mwaniki, Pastor Chrispin Ndii and Priscilla Njoki. Friends and family are meeting at Roasters, Thika Road from 4:00pm to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, 17th November 2020 and Wednesday, 18th November 2020 and at. Hon Christopher Omulele’s residence.

Mzee will be laid to rest on Friday, 20th November 2020 at 10.00am at his home in Kiritiri, Mbeere.

She was the mother to the late Hezekiah Malika, the late Joshua Alex Okwalo Teyie, Aloise Teyie, Clement Odongo, Priscillah Teyie, Maria Teyie, Philip Teyie, Rose Teyie and Andrew Teyie. She was the mother in law to the late Agneta Malika, Peris Teyie, Bridgit Teyie, Jason Kisia, Siprose Teyie and Harriet Anyima Teyie. Mama Selina was a co-wife of Mama Isabella Ayako Teyie. Mama Selina was also a mother to Patrick Teyie, the late Protus Teyie, Innocent Teyie, Judy Teyie, Gaudencia Teyie, Jackline Teyie and Hellen Teyie. She was a Grandmother to fourty (40) and the Great Grandmother to many.

The Cortege leaves Eldoret Hospital Mortuary on Friday, 20th November. She will be laid to rest at Kongoni Scheme, Likuyani Sub County, Kakamega County on Saturday 21st November 2020.
