The Chokera family announces the sudden demise of Dr Jacqueline Wangechi Njoroge on the morning of Saturday 14/11/2020 at KUTRRH, Nairobi. Dr Jacqueline will be remembered as an accomplished Consultant Physician and the Deputy Medical Superintendent at Thika Level 5 Hospital. She was also the proprietor Equity Afia Medical Centers — Thika and Kahawa West, and a pioneer of the Equity Leadership Programme.

She was the dear wife of Joshua Muriithi Chokera of Kenya Power — National Control Center and a dedicated mother of Angel Karimi Chokera and Adrian Munene Chokera (of ACK Memorial Church School Thika).

She was a beloved daughter of Sammy Njoroge Michuki and Florence Njoroge of Gatitu, Nyeri County, and the only sister of Frankline Michuki and Harrison Wanarua. She was a daughter-in-law of Cecilia Kajuju, Norah Chokera and late Celestino Chokera of Nkabune — Meru County. Sister-in-law of Dr. Abbey Chokera (PPMC) & Mary Chokera, Esterina & Eric Fernandes and Evannah & Anthony Kabingu among others. Jacque was a cherished grandchild, niece, cousin and aunt to many.

The body is lying at Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home and a memorial Mass will be held on Thursday 19/11/2020 at St. Paul’s UoN Chapel at 10,00 a.m.

Funeral service will be held on Friday 20/11/2020 at Gathambara Primary School grounds next to Thika Coffe Mills with Holy Mass at 10.00 a.m. followed by a private interment ceremony at Westwood Gardens Estate, Gatanga, Muranga County.

Eternal rest grant unto Jacque Oh Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May she rest in peace. Amen.

Dear sister to Linda Mukami, Derick Kimathi, Sydney Mwenda, Jackline Wanja, Emma Murugi, Peter Gitonga, Denis Mutwiri, the Late Lewis Mutugi, the Late Mary Kendi and Late Mugambi Mbuba. Sister-in-law to Xiaopeng Xin, Hellen Mukethi, Ntoitha Murithi, Leah Simon, and Purity Nambura. She is loving aunt to Mike, Laurine, Leon, Odilia, Caleb Sharon, Glory, Morris and More. Beloved Niece to Mrs Dorothy Mugendi and many. Cousin to Nancy, Sharon Maxwell and many more.

The Cortege leaves Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home (Thika Road) on Saturday 21st November 2020 at 4.00am for burial at their rural home in Mutuati Division, Kabachi Location, Maibuki Village, lgembe North Sub County.

He was a kind and loving husband to Dr. Florence Nzisa Nzwili Muinde and an exceptionally amazing father to Maria Muinde, Mercy Ngina, Peter Matini and Onesmus Kaloki. He was father-in-law to the late Tony Onyango Opondo and grandfather to Shane Muinde Onyango. He was the son of the late Martin Ndwiwa & the late Elizabeth Ngina of Kaumoni Sub-location, Makueni County; brother to Benedict Kaloki, Daniel Ngumbau, Sr. Josephine Mulewa, the late Jane Nduku and Franciscah Muthoki; son-in-law to the late Nzwili Ndemange and the late Benedetta Maria Mbole; brother-in-law to the late Daniel Kalii Nwili, the late Jackson Musili Nzwili, the late Boniface Mumina Nzwili, Onesmus Mutuku Nzwili and Veronica Kanini Nzwili. He was a cousin, uncle and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his residence in Syokimau.

The main fundraiser will be held today at Cardinal Otunga Plaza Annex in St. Cecilia on 5th floor from 05:15pm to 07:30pm.

He is survived by his wife Zaida Faluma Wesaya and six children: Jason Wandera, Adelynn Wandera, Hezron Wandera, Fridah Wandera, Dorothy Namboka and Jacinta Namboka. He is son to the late Hezron Namboka Musebe and Marseline Narotso Namboka. Brother to Duncan Barasa Namboka, Victor Musebe Namboka, Godfrey Juma Namboka, Esther Nabwire Namboka, Eman Wafula Namboka, Jentriza Vyama Namboka and Ruth Nanzala Namboka. Son in Law to the late Abdul Wesaya and Mirriam Wetoyi. Uncle to Mark, Fridah, Leah, Precious, Prittie, Brillant, Pearl, Mary, Ronny, Branton, Bravin Emmanuel, Lemuel and Isaac. Brother in law to Carren Namboka, Trudea Aoko, Maureen Nabwire and Lynah Sikuku. He is cousin to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his home in Bujumba village, Butula Sub-county, Busia County to arrange for a decent send off.

The cortege leaves Lifecare Hospital Bungoma on Friday 20th November 2020 at 2.00 p.m, and proceeds for an overnight vigil at home. The burial will be conducted on Saturday 21st November 2020 at his home in Bujumba Village.
