It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of John Kabage Mwangi which occurred on Tuesday the 10th November 2020 after a short illness. Until his passing he was an Electrical Engineer at Tetra Pak Kenya Limited.

He was beloved son to Samuel Mwangi Kabage and Beatrice Wangu Mwangi. He was a loving husband to Caroline Wanjiru. Devoted father to Mike Karanja, Ian Mwangi, Lyra Wangu and Quinter Wangu. Brother to Jane Nyaguthii, Late Gladys Wambui, Mercy Wairimu and Angela Wambui. Son-in-law to John Karanja Kinyanjui and Esther Nduta Karanja. Brother-in-law to Julius Mburu, Ann Njeri, Isaiah Kinyanjui, Alice Karanja and Nancy Karanja. He is a nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his parents’ home in Mathina Village, Chaka, Nyeri County from 4pm- bpm for prayers and funeral arrangements and also at his Kimuchu, Kiganjo residence in Thika from Spm-7pm.

The burial will take place on Tuesday 17/11/2020 at Mathina, Karudas from 10.00Am. The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital Mortuary, Thika at 7.00am. Funeral rites shall comply with MOH Covid- 19 guidelines.

Son of the late John Mbugua and Veronica Mbugua, He was fiancé to Leahet Anyira and brother to Tony & Doris, Samuel & Catherine, Tony & Catherine and Charles & Melissa. He was uncle to Brandon, Russell, Elaine, Faith, Elicia, Dante, eremy, jethan and Zemirah.

Family and friends are meeting daily at the Kitale home.

The cortege leaves Cherangany Nursing Home on 14th November 2020 at 8.00 a.m. for requiem mass and burial in Amuka Farm — Kitale from 9.30 a.m. on the same day.

Brother of the late Joram Kamwano, Paul Njuguna, the late Mary Kahaki, John Kihika, the late Kahaki Njoroge, the late Kihika Mungai, the late Kariuki Mungai, the late Phylis Wambui Mwangi and the late Samuel Kinyara. Father-in-law of Beatrice Muthoni, Lydia Wanjiku, Mary Cialo, Phallen Oyoo and Alex Ngure Kahuha. Grandfather to many.

Family and friends are meeting at his home in Ruai near Josnah Primary School for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 17/11/2020 at 8.00am for the funeral service at PCEA Ruai Central Parish Church, thereafter proceeding to the burial grounds at his farm in Mwalimu Farm (10km from Ruai) next to AP Driving School at 2.00pm.

Son of the late Isaac Ngasura and Esther Ngasura of Cheleget village. Son-in-law of Joseph and Eunice Maina of Kipkeikei Village. Husband of Linner Korir. Father of Dr. Daisy Korir (KMPDU and MTRH), Dr. Maureen Cherono (MTRH), Emmanuel Bert (Kabarak University), Faith Chepngetich (Kenyatta University) and Mercy Chelangat (JKUAT). Father-in-law of Arnina Cherotich. Grandfather of Kipla and Chemu. Brother of Stephen Korir, the late Wilson Korir, the late Nancy Rotich, Lilian Tonui and Jeniffer Kirui. An Uncle, cousin, nephew and friend to many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting daily at his Farm in Kapseret, Eldoret and his home in Cheleget, Bomet County.

The cortege will leave the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Farewell Home, on Friday 13th November at 8.00am for a memorial service at his farm in Kapseret Eldoret and thereafter the body will be taken for a night stay at his home in Cheleget. His funeral service will be held on Saturday 14th November at his home in Cheleget Bomet County as from 10.00am.

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of Dr. Vladimir Shchukin on 9th November 2020. A loving husband and father, Vladimir is survived by his wife, Lyudmila, his children, relatives, and friends.

Dr. Shchukin and his family migrated to Kenya in 1994. He was a dedicated surgeon who built a reputable practice and helped countless people. His patients and colleagues described him as a gentleman, a soft soul, and a great mentor. Vladimir’s love of family and dedication to the medical community was exceptional.

Vladimir’s deepest joy was in the time he spent with friends and family. There will be no replacement for the pleasure of his good company, the benefit of his sage insight, and the charm of the music he regaled those fortunate enough to hear him play. With an earnest smile and a twinkle in his eyes, Dr. Vladimir Shchukin will be dearly missed, and his legacy will forever live on in our hearts.

We are thankful to those who assisted us during these trying times, and in particular Dr. Hassan, Prof Larissa Moroz (Ukr), Mrs. Yajnik Raj, Dr. Sergiy Maslovskiv, Dr. Thomas Laissus, Dr. Slavik Maslovskyi, Mercy and Dr. Richard Baran, Zryan Mutiso, Dr. Nurani, and finally the brethren of the lodge of Nairobi.
