It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Josephine Wanjiku Wanguirubi of Manguo Village in Limuru on 10th November 2020 at Kikuyu PCEA Hospital following an illness.

She was the daughter of the late Ephantus Kamau Muchui and the late Joyce Wachu Kamau of Mutarakwa. Beloved wife to Francis Wanguirubi.

Loving mother to Ruth Murphy (Boston USA), Andrew Wanguirubi, Ann Njuguna, Irene Njeri (Luton UK) Nelly Nyaikamba (Mombasa) and Jedidah Gathoni.

Sister to the late Stephen Ngige, Margaret Nyaikamba, the late Mary Waithera, the late Sophia Njeri, the late Lucy Wanjira, the late Michael Ng’ang’a, Ann Nyokabi, the late Jennifer Mumbi and Phyllis Wambui.

Mother in law to Mike Murphey (Boston, USA), Paul Njuguna (Advocate), Susan Wanjiru, Curtis Mbugua (Luton, UK), Stanley Muturi and Peter Kimari Kariuki.

A loving grandmother to Ivy Wangari, Brian Njuguna, Louis Njuguna, Mona Njuguna, Wendy Muturi, Joseline Muturi, Leona Wanjiku, Lewis Njung’e and Latifa Wambui.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for funeral arrangements at her home in Limuru Manguo village from 4 pm daily and in Nairobi at PCEA St. Andrew’s Church from 5.00 p.m. on 12th, 13th and 16th of November 2020.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa funeral home tomorrow Wednesday 18th Nov 2020 at 8.00am for a funeral service at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church Limuru Town and thereafter followed by a burial ceremony at her home manguo village Limuru.

The late Joseph Mbinda Ngulu was born to the late James Mbinda Nduti and the late Mwelu Mbinda in Wanua village, West division of Machakos district and now Kaiti division – Makueni County. Brother of Paul Ngui, late Gideon Sove, the late Wasui, the late Nthangai and the late Muvili. Father-in-law of Hellen Mumbi, the late Grace Nthekani, the late Josephine, Elder Mary Ngula, Rose Mutuku, Mary Joshua, the late Francis Ndima, Wambua Musau, Musyoka Katei (NPS), David Sesi (KDF), Mutuku Sung’wa, among others. Father of Kanyola, Mutua, the late Musau, Muli (Head teacher- Mbyani Primary Sch), Musyoki, Mwikali, the late Tabitha, Mumo, Mutuku, Mueni, Kaveke, Munee, Katunge, Wavinya, Mumbua, Joshua (University of Nottingham-UK), Maingi and Kamene (Fargo Courier). He is blessed with (72) grandchildren among them Grace (USA), Elder James Mbinda (Equity), Geoffrey (NCBA), Mwende Musyoka (KCB), Muema (Kilome MNH), Ambrose (UoN), Nicholas, Mutheu, Munyao, Mumbe, among others. He is also blessed with (71) great-grandchildren and (1) great-great-grandchild.

Burial is set for the 14th day of November, 2020 at his Kikumini home.

Brother of David Njoroge Gichure and John Koigi Gichure both of Naivasha. Son-in-law of Mr. Cyrus Githeng’u and Mrs. Serah Githeng’u. In-law of Attamay Githeng’u, Susan Githeng’u, Maggie Githeng’u, Beth Mary Githeng’u, Sally Njenga, Wilson Kariuki, Jason Githeng’u and Emily Wambui. Uncle of Jay, Arianna, Jayden, Sophie, JR and Nathan.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangement at the family residence at Lakeview Estate, Naivasha.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home, Nairobi on Monday 23rd November, 2020 at 6:30arn for funeral service at Nyorijoro Secondary School ground at 10.00 am and thereafter burial at the family farm near Karati, Naivasha on your way to NYS training institute.

Brother to Wairimu, Wambui, Njami, Kweri, Mwangi, the late Nyoike and the late Gicau.

Father in law to Fred , Kamau, Muchai, John among others. A grandfather to many.

It is with profound sadness and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the promotion to glory of John Kabage Mwangi which occurred on Tuesday the 10th November 2020 after a short illness. Until his passing he was an Electrical Engineer at Tetra Pak Kenya Limited.

He was beloved son to Samuel Mwangi Kabage and Beatrice Wangu Mwangi. He was a loving husband to Caroline Wanjiru. Devoted father to Mike Karanja, Ian Mwangi, Lyra Wangu and Quinter Wangu. Brother to Jane Nyaguthii, Late Gladys Wambui, Mercy Wairimu and Angela Wambui. Son-in-law to John Karanja Kinyanjui and Esther Nduta Karanja. Brother-in-law to Julius Mburu, Ann Njeri, Isaiah Kinyanjui, Alice Karanja and Nancy Karanja. He is a nephew, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Family and friends are meeting daily at his parents’ home in Mathina Village, Chaka, Nyeri County from 4pm- bpm for prayers and funeral arrangements and also at his Kimuchu, Kiganjo residence in Thika from Spm-7pm.

The burial will take place on Tuesday 17/11/2020 at Mathina, Karudas from 10.00Am. The cortege will leave Avenue Hospital Mortuary, Thika at 7.00am. Funeral rites shall comply with MOH Covid- 19 guidelines.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta University Funeral Home on Tuesday 17/11/2020 at 8.00am for the funeral service at PCEA Ruai Central Parish Church, thereafter proceeding to the burial grounds at his farm in Mwalimu Farm (10km from Ruai) next to AP Driving School at 2.00pm.
