It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on to glory of James Kigecha Gachugu that occurred on Friday 9th October 2020.

Son of the late Nahashon Gachugu Kamau and Mary Wangari Gachugu. Husband of the late Teresiah Wambui Kigecha. Caring father of Michael Gachugu (Gatei Printers), Joseph Kago, Peter Kamau, John Mariga (Jornaki Enterprises), Josphat Kimani, Cecilia Wangari, Gabriel Nginya, Mary Thama, Thomas Mungai and Jecinta Wanjeri. Brother of Kamau, Wanjeri, Kimani, Mungai, Kabuga, Njuhi and Nduta, Joyce, Rosemary, Susan, Beatrice, Janet, Carol and Waitherero. Grandfather and great-grandfather of many.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Funeral Home — Kabati on Monday 19th October 2020 at   8.00a.m followed by funeral service at Gatei Primary School ground starting at 11.00a.m and thereafter burial service at his home in Gatei village, Githombokoni Gatundu North where he will be laid to rest.

It is with profound sadness and sorrow that we announce the untimely demise of Harrison Ogweno Okeche of Standard Chartered Bank Nairobi and an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya on the 10th October, 2020 following a tragic road accident that occurred on 4th October 2020 along Bomet-Narok road. He was the patron of Kanjira Development Society (KADESO).

Son of the late Charles Okeche and Truphosa Okeche. Loving husband to Dr. Pia Okeche of Kisii University. Caring father to Lucy, Jude and Titus. Loving brother to the late David, late George, late James, Teresa, late Joyce, Mary and Flora. Brother-in-law to the late Nicholas, Enoch, Sylvester, Vincent Derrick, Junior, Sheila and Maryanne. Grandfather to Milan, Hera and Flawi.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his Nairobi Residence on Rose Avenue, where a Mini-Harambee will be held on Saturday 17th of October from 3pm.

The Main Harambee shall be held at Holy Family Basilica on the 20th October 2020 at 2.00 pm.

The Requim Mass will be held at Holy Family Basilica on the 21st October 2020 at 10.00 am. Burial will be held on 23rd October 2020 in Aluga village in Kochola sub-location, Kanjira Location, Kanchuonyo constituency in Homabay county.

Brother of Samuel Gaitho, the late Julia Njambi Gatheca, Mary Wambui Ngugi, William Ndonga, late Stanley Ngara, late Moses Gichia, late Lydia Wanjiru, Lilian Njeri, and Fredrick Kiarie. Brother-in-law of Cyrus Murimi, late Nyawira, Patrick Ngare and Benard Muchiri. Dear uncle of many.

Friends and relatives are meeting at his home in MEMBLY Estate, Riverside Court, Valley drive house no 205 daily from 5:30pm.

The cortege leaves the new KU Referal Hospital funeral home on Monday 19th at 8:30am. Funeral service will follow thereafter at his farm in Tinganga, Kagongo, Kiambu County.

Daughter to Julius Makau Mulinge and the late Esther Kaluki Makau. Sister to Roseline Nthenya Mutisya, the late Dr. Simon Makau, and Carolyne Makau-AAR. Sister in law to Agnes Mueni, Faith Nduku, Flora Musili, Humphrey Mutinda, Hilda Wavinya, Mitchell Mwikali, Lasher Mwendwa. Aunt to Eddie, Baby, Sweetie, Nicole, Tasha, Celine, Everlasting, Karen, Brian, LSuTabbie, Dianne, Ethan,Tiana, Roman and Maya.

The late Dorothy Wayua Kilei will be laid to rest at Mutitu Village, Kyangulumi Sub Location, Yathui location Machakos County on Friday 23rd October 2020.

Sister to the late Meleny, the late Paul, the late Michael, the late Celine, the late George, the late Colman, the late Anne, Stephen, Auma, Boni, Davis, Rose, Norbert, Fred, Pam, Tom, Beatrice and Judith. Sister in Law to Pascalia, Grace, Monica, Enos, Odhiambo, Rosa and Mrs. Opondo, the late Gordon, the late Rebecca. Loving daughter of Julia Muthoni Wainaina of USA, Mother of Albert Nyabuti of Riara group of Schools, Sister of Anthony Gitau Muthoni, Kevin Kuria Muthoni and Claire Njeri Muthoni, Auntie of Alvin King of Kitengela International school, Tracey, Angelo among many others. Niece, cousin and friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily for prayers and burial preparations at the family residence in Siwaka estate opposite Strathmore University from 5pm.

The Memorial service will take place on Sunday 18th October 2020 at 3pm at Siwaka estate grounds.

Burial will take place on 20th October 2020 at Ndiuni village Limuru.

Husband of Wincate Mwende of Maisha Micro-Finance Bank ltd and adoring dad of Sharleen Mwihaki, Jackson Njeru and Sasha Wakio. Brother of Julia Wanjiku, Ann Nduta, Joyce Wangeci, Grace Nyambura and the late Timothy Mbogo. Son-in-law of Ignatius Muriuki Nyaga and Cecily Wanja Nyaga from Runyenjes Embu. Brother in law of Dennis Gitonga, Ann Ritah Gakii, Mark Ndereva, Faith Karimi and Magdalene Wanjiru. Loving uncle of Jackson Njeru Muchai, Joyce Nguhi Muchai, Dominic Njenga Muchai, Beatrice Mwihaki Muchai, Michelle Mwihaki Nduta, Beatrice Mwihaki Nyambura, Ken Mungai Kamau, Ian Njeru Kamau and JoyAnn Wairimu Kamau.

Daily prayers and burial preparation meetings are taking place at his parent’s residence, Kangano village, South Kinangop starting at 4.00 p.m daily.

The cortege leaves PNN Funeral Home Nakuru on Saturday 17th October 2020 at 8.00 a.m. for funeral service and burial at Kangano village, Mukeu sub-location at 10.30 a.m.

It is with-deep sorrow that The Ursuline Sisters of the Roman Union (Kenya Region) wish to announce the passing on of Sr. Philomenah Koki Maweu OSU on Thursday 8th October 2020 while undergoing treatment in Mater Misericodiae Hospital Nairobi. She was a teacher at St. Patrick’s Mutune Primary School Kitui county and formerly taught at Nabulon Primary School Lodwar Diocese.

Beloved daughter of the late John Maweu and Beatrice Maweu. Beloved sister to Pauline Mweni, Ann Loco, Patrick Muazya, Charles Mulwa R.I.P, Josephine Mutheu, Stephen Mwema. She is sadly missed deeply by her Ursuline sisters, extended family, relatives and friends.

The cortege leaves Mater Misericordiae Hospital (Nairobi) on Sunday 18th October 2020 at 10.00am for an overnight vigil. She will be laid to rest on Monday 19th October 2020 10.00am at St. Patrick’s Mutune Catholic Church, Kitui Diocese.

Requiem masses are held every day at St. Augustine’s Mutune Convent Kitui at 3.00pm.

Brother to the late Caleb, the late Clyde, the late Aggrey, the late Gladys, the late Tabitha Khasiani, the late Mabel, the late Naomi, Romona Mdobi (Tanzania), Rosalyn Manyasa, Phannice (Jarnii Sacco), David (USA), Rev. Eunice Swegenyi, Rev. Obadiah, Kwendo, Sammy (Former P.S Broadcasting and Telecommunications), Dan, Faith Isiye and Rev. Winston Itemere.

He is survived by a wife Agneta Carrey Itemere. Father to Thomas Clyde Itemere, the late Collins Makotsi, Fredrick Emmanuel Ndekwa, John Caleb Shihemi, Derrick Evans Ochola, Shakel Omega. Father in law to Mercy Mbaire and Shelvin Nafula. Grandfather to Tyran Carrey Ong’ayi.

The late Carrey Itemere’s body will be transferred from Mukumu Mortuary to his home at Shisende in Kakamega County, on Friday 16th October 2020. Funeral service will be on Saturday 17th October 2020 at 8:00am at his home Shisende, Ikolomani Sub-County, Kakamega County.
