It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing on of Mr. John Thairu Kieya (Murumbi). Loving husband to Jedidiah Wambui Thairu.

Loving father to Margaret Wanjiru, Dr. Dorcas Wangari, Gideon Kieya, Nelson Pere, Dr. Christopher Maina and Irene Wambui. Son of the late Dorcas Wangari Kieya and Kieya Ole Lenkana. Son-in-law to Margaret Pere and the late Isiah Pere. Sibling to the late Jane Wambuku, the late Mary Njeri, the late Bernard Kamenwa, Joyce Naisiae, the late Josephine Njoki, the late David Ndicu, Catherine Lenkana, Caroline Mukenyi and Eunice Wanjiku. Loving grandfather to Walter, Kimberly, Kylie, Jeremy and Leila. Uncle and cousin to many.

Meetings are being held daily at his residence in Ongata Rongai.

Mass and funeral service will be held on 13th October 2020 at Langata Cemetery Nairobi.

Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord, and may Your perpetual light shine upon him.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of our loving matriarch Grace Nyambura Nyuthe.

She was the beloved wife of the late Jairo Nyuthe Wangai. Co-wife to the late Margaret Njoki Nyuthe. Mother of Lois and the late Peter Muchiri, Hellen and the late John Kiberi, the late Anne and Phares Karogo, Elizabeth and the late John Maina, Wangai Nyuthe and Beatrice Wangai, and the late Jackson and Juliet Wagana. Stepmother to James and Beatrice Wangai. She was sister to Wambui Wanguo, Wangui Maingi, Kiige Wagana, Emily Njoki and Marikio Wagana who are all deceased. Grandmother to Loise McGovern, Jimmy Karicho, Robert Kamuru, Humphrey Kamau, Grace Wangai, and Jairus Wagana, among others. Great grandmother to 21 children.

Friends and relatives are meeting at All Saints Cathedral on Thursday and Friday from 5.30pm, and daily at her home in Gathanji Village, for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home on Saturday 10.10.2020 at 7.00 am. Church service will held at ACK Thunguri Church from 11.00 am, followed by burial at her home in Gathanji Village, Chinga Location, Nyeri County.

Beloved husband to Jane Wambui Maina. Son of the late Muturi wa Gatama and Joyce Wambui Muturi. Loving dad to the Late Eric Muturi, Melly Wanjiru (USA), Late Peris Wanjiku, Emmanuel Mbira (USA) and Natalie Wambui (Kamacharia Girls). Father in law to Oscar Kimani (USA). He was an In-law son to the late Mr. & Mrs. Mbira. Brother to Julius Mwangi Muturi, Wanjiru, Margaret Nyakinyua, Lydia Gathoni, Eunice Njoki and the Late Esther Waitherero.

Family and Friends are meeting at his family home at Kihunguro Ruiru Bypass (near the Ruiru Star High School) at 5.00pm daily.

There shall be a memorial service to be held at his local church ACK Kihunguro on Sunday 12th Oct 2020 at 3:00 P.M.

The Cortege leaves Kenyatta Memorial Funeral Home on Tuesday, 13th October 2020 at 8:00 A.M and the funeral service shall be held at the Gaitheri ACK Church grounds starting at 11:00 A.M and thereafter the interment to follow at the family home nearby.

Brother-in-law of Shimaka, Luganda, Rodgers, late Wafula, late Wanyonyi. Grandfather of Clinton (Canada), Lucas (Canada), Kharis (USA), Maisy (Kimilili). Uncle of Ass. Chief Gilbert, Frank, Kennedy, Bramwel, Khatundi, MCA Investor Pepeia, Daniel, Cynthia among others.

The cortege leaves lifecare hospital Mortuary Bungoma Today to Kimilili then proceed to his home in Tulienge, Namubila Location. Burial and funeral service will take place on 10th October 2020.

Brother-in-law of the late Peter Kamau and Nelly Wanjiru, Stephen Muchugi and Martha Wangui, Faith Wambui and Michael Mburu, Robert Gaitho and Ann Wahito, Marylyne Wanjiku, John Buckingham and Julius Karume.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Monalisa Mortuary Mbagathi Road Nairobi on Saturday 10th October 2020 at 8.00a.m followed by funeral service at Thenge-ini Primary School ground starting at 1 0.00a.m and thereafter interment to proceed at his home Mutuango village, Kaganda location in Murang’a County the same day.

A brother of Obia Achieng, Andrew Ogutu, Evans Ogutu, Bevian Elseba, Hulda Awuor & Kevin Achieng. Son in-law of Peter Agwanda and Rael Aoko. Brother in-law of Lorna, Linda, Lydia, Ricky, Elizabeth, Paul, Grace, Mark, Jane & Caroline. Nephew, cousin and uncle of many.

Friends and family are meeting at All Saints Cathedral from 5:30pm to 8.00pm.

The cortege will leave the Montezuma funeral home on Wednesday 14th October, 2020 at 1p.m and proceed to Nairobi South C SDA for a requiem service starting from 2pm.

The Burial will take place on Friday 16th October, 2020 from 10.00am at Manyatta village, Got Jope Location, Suna East Sub County, Migori County.

Sister of the late Simon Mutuva, the late Esther Kathule, Esther Mathei, the late Peter Makau, Daniel Kioko and Scholastica Ndungwa. Cherished mother of Lydia Ndinda (Machakos), the late Paul Kasau, Stephen Mutinda (Nairobi), Timothy Mutuku (USA), Josephine Mwikali (Kyamutwil Primary), Eunice Mutio (Nairobi) and Stepson Mutunga Mukuli (Makima). Mother-in-law of Jasmine Kamene Mutuku (USA), Josephine Nthamb (Nairobi), Ann Ndinda (Nairobi), the late Martin Mutinda Kimuta, David Ndutu (Machakos). In-law of the late Kimuta Matheka family, the late Lid family, the late John Nzambu family, Musyoka Nthenge family and the late Musyoki Nzuma family. She had 36 Grandchildren and 60 Great grandchildren and 20 Great great grandchildren. She was a mother, an auntie and grandmother of many.

He was the son of the late Kutindeat Roosi and Roosi Ole Kaanto. Brother to Nkoidila Ole Kuseyo Kaanto and uncle to Kindalel Kuseyo, John Kuseyo and Tipango Kuseyo. He married the late Nanina Pasua, Simayo Pasua and Nantei Pasua. He was father to Ambassador Lemarron Kaanto; Evans Pasua; Nicholas Otuma, Ruth Nyamalo, Simon Kidemi, Milau Kaanto, Tumeso Kaanto, Meliyo Kaanto, Saruni Kaanto, Namunyak Kaanto, Oshipae Kaanto, Siranka Kaanto,Toyianka Kaanto and Leshan Kaanto. He was step-brother to Pariken Kaanto and Mateu ene Kaanto and uncle to Pisoi Kuraru, Sayianka Pariken, Soila Pariken, Kuntai Pariken, Naserian Pariken, Singai Pariken, Naipasoi Pariken, Rakoni Pariken, Lempuris Pariken, Sakinoi Pariken, Nanetia Pariken, Samperu Pariken, Ntetia Pariken, Serenta Siripi, Kemeti Meibuko, Piyiote Sikorei, Naiduya Lenkina, Kilasho Tumokinoi, Siiro Legis, Kasaro Legis, Nashipae Simintei and Kayionko Legis.

He was father in law to Janet Lemarron, Charity Ning’ori, Ann Otuma, Dunstan Achwoka, Sylvia Kidemi and Edith Seteon Milau. He was grandfather to Soda Lemarron; Sonkoi Lemarron, Soine Lemarron, Soipan Lemarron, Siantet Ning’ori, Sankei Ning’ori, Leon Jabali, Neema Naneu, Cyril Calisto, Leonard Otuma, Nosim Otuma, Sanare Otuma, Kanan Milau, Jayden Kidemi, Amos Pasua, Precious Nenkai and Sanayian Pasua. He was a cousin to Sonkoi family of Loita (Narok) and the Mugesa’s of Loitoktok. And in-law to the families of the late Kinakae Mote Mpoko; the late Olosilale Kukuo; the late Parteyie Sitat; Kirinkae Ole Karla (Mau, Narok); the late Sopon Oloruma; Shiranda Achwoka (Busia); the late Senior Chief Kores (Ildamat); Mutende Ole Nado Mailua and Muneria Kurraru (Corner Baricii, Keekonyokie). He was a father, grandfather, great grandfather and mentor to many.

The burial will be on Saturday, 10th October 2020 starting at 11.00am at the late Mzee Kaanto’s home at Orinie Village, Bissil Kajiado County.
