It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing on of Gorrety Anyango Otieno of Styles Industries, Nakuru which occurred on 23rd September 2020 after a short illness.

Daughter to retired Mwalimu Walter Otieno Ojuang’ and the late Teresa Auma Otieno of Madhai Village/Sidindi in Siaya County. Step-daughter to Josephine Olele Otieno. She was the mother to Ian Omondi of Technical University of Kenya (TUK). Sister to Rosemary of IOM, Beneah, Alfred, Millicent, Simon, Judith, William, Jared, Boniface, Gideon, Lawrence, Alice, Lilian, Pauline, Richard, Herine and the late Pamela. Cousin to Zadock, Beatrice,Timothy, Paul, Lilian and many more. Sister-in-law to Yvonne, Peninnah, Judy, Joyce, Francis and the late Eunice. Auntie to Eva, Lynette, Ken, Stephanie, Gloria, Tessy, Tracy, Trevor, Chris, Shantel and Liam. Grand-daughter to Daudi Ojuang’ Rebecca Ojuang, Lazaro Nyiero and Gaudencia Akech. Niece to Rose Aduol, the late Joash, Dickson, Albert, Grace, Wifrida, Catherine, Helidah and Margaret.

There will be a requiem mass at St Luke’s Church, Kenyatta Market on Friday the 2nd of October from 10am. The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home at 9.00pm the same day for Ugenya.

The burial ceremony will be held on 3rd October 2020 in Madhal Village, Sidindi, Siaya County.

It is with humility and acceptance of God’s will that we announce the passing of Mr. Francis Njoroge Mburu which occurred on Monday 28th September 2020 at south B hospital after a sudden illness.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Njoroge Kaguandata, husband to Mrs Mary Mburu (rtd teacher of our lady of mercy primary school). He was the brother to Nduta Muinika, Wambui Kombo, and the late Wambui Kibunja and Nungari Miringu. Father to Michael and Doreen, Joshua and Patricia, Kimani and Mark. He was the grand father to Kirathimo, Wendo, Mwega, and Thayu. He was a great father, great listener and a great friend to many.

Prayer and funeral arrangements are taking place at his home everyday from 4pm.

He will be laid to rest on Friday 2nd October 2020. The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home at 10:30 am for Langata Cemetery where a funeral service will be held at the grave site from 11:00 am.

Loving wife of Charles Parkisia Takai. Loving mother of Setek, Sein, Supeyo, Silantoi and Micah. Sister of the late Tumanka Pareyio, Masio Karia, Simon Lonkisa, Pst Gideon (NKG), Ntoika, Margaret Kamwaro (NCG) and Benson Oloodo (TSC). Daughter of the Late Serah, Noonkipa Pareyio and Kulangash Pareyio. Sister in-law of Nanyikae Ntimama, Napolos Leperes, Riset, Morioki, Rakita, Lemashon and Kitita Takai.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary on 3rd October 2020 for burial at her home Olendeem in Melili, Olchorro Location, Narok County.

Father of Brian Waigwa, Peace Wanjiru, the late Victor Maina and Immanuel Kahuthia. Brother of Joseph Maina, David Wandira, Jane Muthoni, Lucy Wangari, Samuel Chege, John Kariuki, Isaac Murungi, Simon Mwaniki, Tabby Wanjiku and Paul Githugo.

Family and friends are meeting daily for prayers and funeral arrangements at Shujaa Mall along Spine Road near Masimba Stage starting at 5.00 p.m.

The beloved mother of Cecilia and Zablon Mugwima, Nelly and Dunsey Jesse Gatukui Kiarie, Edith and George Wanyoike, Violet and the late George Kimuni, Phyllis Njeri, Susan and Eliasaph Mbugua, Mary Nyambura and the late George Njuguna, Catherine and Kefah Kariithi, William and Hellen Birgen, Charity Waithira, John and Keziah Kanyiri, Esther and Charles Kaiba and George and Salome Kagure Njoroge. Grandmother and great grandmother of many. Sister of the late Nahashon Kariithi, the late Elishiba Nyakabete, the late Elijah Ndarua and the late Phyllis Haki. The surviving siblings are Grace Wangui Kinyanjui and Paul Kariuki Gatukui.

Family and friends are meeting at her home in Matindiri daily at 4:00pm. A prayer session will be held at Ridgeways Home of Dunsey J.G. Kiarie and his wife Nelly Gatukui on Thursday 1st October 2020 at 6:00pm.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home Nakuru on Saturday 3rd October 2020 at 8:00 am. The church service will be held at Baraka P.C.E.A Church Matindiri at 11:00 am, the interment will follow soon after at her home.
