We regret to announce the death of Sister Salome Moraa Omurwa, formerly of Sisters
of Mary Kakamega (SMK).
She was popularly known as “Mama Safi” or “Egesio Egesafi”.
Daughter of the late Alex Omurwa and the late Lucina Nyanchama.
Sister to the late Gerald Okeyo Omurwa, the late Thomas Atandi, the late Mairura Arita, Prisca Mboga,
and Mary Nyachae.
She was cousin to Alex Atandi, Mose Mosongo, Joseph Arita, Osoro Onchagwa, the
late Marisera Arita, the late Sabina Onchagwa, Mary Atandi among others.
She was Aunt to the Okeyos: Clare Omoke, Veronica Ratemo, Francis Omurwa, late
Mary Kemunto, Pius Mosongo, Michael Mairura, Jane King’oina, Margaret Mwanyiro,
Rose Arita, the late Christopher Omurwa, Beatrice Gesare, William Matoke, Jeremiah
Mosioma, Lydia Kwamboka, Mercellinus Mairura and Vincent Onchagwa.
Aunt to the Mbogas: George Omurwa, Charles Ongera, Stella Moraa, Nancy Kerubo,
Judy Mokeira, Paul Nyamweya Ogoti, and Carol Nyansuku.
Aunt to the Nyachaes: Charles Kanoti, Paul Michieka, Fr. Daniel Omosa, Jacintha
Moraa, Michael Ogega, Judy Kemunto, and Lucy Nyanchama.
The cortege leaves Nyansiongo Mission Hospital mortuary on Friday, 7th August 2020
for mass at Nyansiongo Catholic Church at 10.00am.
Interment will be on the same day at the home of Mzee Gerald Okeyo Omurwa, Rigoko village, Nyansiongo-Gesima Sub-
Location, Nyamira County.

Mother of Twins the late Ruth and the late Kamaa, Twins Stephen Musyoka and the late Musyoki, the late David Matheka, Major Andrew Wambua, John Munuve, Timothy Kituku, Jackson Kanyange, Reuben Kyalo, Joseph Kivuva, the late Mutindi, William Muisyo, the late Rose Mutorto, Twins Martha Mwikali and the late Nganga and Titus Mbuiya. Mother-in-law of Sarah Musyoka, the late Jane Matheka, Major Florence Wambua, Beth Munuve, Esther Kituku, Pauline Kanyange. Mary Kyalo, Catherine Kivuva, Mary Muisyo and Josephine Mbulya. Sister of the late Mwikali Lungu,the late Rhoda Mutono Mbondo, the late Philip Mbithi Kivuva, the late Grace Nzembi Kisavi, the late Esther Men, the late Rael Kavindu, Phyllis Mbuvi, David Musyoki Kivuva and Josephine Mbula Kilonza Step-sister of Nelson Maleka Kivuva, Kithuka Kivuva amongst others.Aunty of Mbondos, Mbithis, Lungus. Kitais, Musyokis, Melis, Nzembis, Mbuvis and Kilonzos families, amongst others. Grandmother of 45 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The cortege will leave Montezuma Funeral Home, Machakos on Saturday 8th August 2020 at 8:00antt Burial ceremony at her home in WandueVillage Kangethe Sub Location Muthetheni Location Nwala Sub County Machakos County starting 10:00am. MOH Covid-19 guidelines to be complied with during the funeral.

Son of Esther Muthoni Mwangi. Beloved husband of Marilyn N. Kioko (Ministry of Agriculture —Kiambu County, Thika Sub-County, Ngaloba Ward). Adoring father of Nathan Mwangi (Murang’aHigh), Tehilah Mutheu and Joshua Mweru (Huduma NYS academy Yatta). Brother of Mary Wanjiku (Murang’a County Government), Benson Mwangi (Murang’a), LeahWangui (Gikandu Primary School) and James Mucheru (Nairobi BM Securities).

Friends and family are meeting daily at his parent’s home in Kiharu Estate, Murang’a Town and at  his residence in Kithimani from 3.00pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves General Kago Funeral Home (Thika) on Saturday, 8th August 2020 at 8.00amfor the funeral and burial service at Green Vale farm in Kithimani, Yatta sub-county, Machakos County from 10.00am.

Father of the Late Stephen Njoroge, Eliud Gtau (Sunrays Data), Anne Ruguru, Esther Njeri, Margaret Wambui, Michael Muthemba, the Late Lucy Nyambura & Henry Njenga.

The cortege will leave Kihara Sub-county Hospital Mortuary on 07.08.2020 at 9.30am. Burial will take place the same day at 10.30am at his home in Kihara, Kiambaa Sub-county, Kiambu County, Kianumira Wage, Stage No. 8.

The (cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on 11th Aug 2020 at 11:00 a.m for requiem mass at St Joseph Cathedral Ngong at 1:00 pm. Thereafter she will be put to rest at their Kibiko residende.
