We are saddened to announce the death of Mrs. Hellen Mbone Karani who left us on 16th July 2020 at the Moi Teaching & Referral Hospital, Eldoret.

Loving wife of the late Philip Mang’ale Karani & loving mother of Angela Karani- Sande, Ruth Sitini, Brian Kigure, Charles Miheso, Hamline Kirisia. Mother-in-law of Charles Sande, Billy Sitini and Grace Karani. Doting grandma of Brandon, James, Beverly, Matthew, Curtis and Andrew. Daughter of the late Richard Embodoka and Elnah Kagai. Sister of Risper, Inez, Robai, the late Japheth, the late Catherine, Brehem, Margaret, Nicodemus and Manoah. Daughter in-law of the late Daudi Karani and the late Priscilla Musuruve. She was an aunty, cousin, friend and mentor to many who will all miss her.

The burial will be held at her home village in Bondeni, Binyenya sub-location, Likuyani sub-county, Kakamega County on Saturday 25th July 2020 from 9:00 am

Daughter of Martin Mutua and Teresia Kanini. She was loving wife of Paul Ndaka Mativo. Mother of Kevin Mativo Ndaka and Julius Mutua Ndaka. Sister of Gregory, Julius, Benedicta, Fidelis, Mulinge, Nzau and Mutile. Daughter-in-law of the late Joseph Mativo and Esther Mukii. Sister-in-law of Joel Mativo, Monica, Sera, Tabitha, late Beatrice and late Isaac Mwanthi. Grandmother of Gabriel Ndaka, Andrew Mutie and Tyler Benson Ndaka.

The cortege leaves Nairobi West Hospital Mortuary tomorrow, 25th July 2020 at 7:30 am for burial at her rural home, Kitambaasye Village, Donyo Sabuk, Maturigulu Sub-County, Machakos County on the same day.

Wanjiku, E. Mwaniki, J. Nyamu, M. Muthoni, N. Nyaga and D. Njagi. Step-brother of F. Njeru, R. Mwaniki, K. Mureithi, G. Mutitu, J. Njue, H. Weveti, J. Mbogo, A. Mureithi, A. Wambui, Njeru, E. Mbogo and the late P. Kivara. Brother—in-law of M. Nyamu, H. Mwaniki, G. Mwaniki, K. Murithi, M. Njagi, E. Nyaga, Late J. Njura, P. Njagi (Riva), Ruth G, Late C. Mukami, D. Kinyua, D. Muchangi, Nelly and uncle of many.

The cortege will leave Gakwegori Funeral Home today, 24th July 2020 at 9:30am for the funeral service, followed by burial at his farm in Gichago, Manyatta from 10:30am.

It is with deep sorrow and humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the death of Charity Clement Kanyeche Maingi on 22nd July 2020. Prior to retirement, Charity worked at the then Housing Finance Company of Kenya (HFCK) and served as a Director at the Kenya Railways.

Daughter of the late Archdeacon Rev. Canon Stephan T Kiteto and the late Grace Wakesho Kiteto of Taita Taveta County. Wife of James Mutua Maingi and loving mother of Stephen Kiteto Maingi, Richard and Joanne Kimanthi, the late Edgar Kyalo Maingi, Grace Wakesho Maingi and Christine Mutheu Maingi. Adoring grandmother of Adrian, Charity, Dylan, Mutua, Janice, Jamie, Grace, Jason, Skylar, Jeruto, Joy and Samara. Cherished sister of Deborah Mwavua, the late Stella Mwawuda, Lydia Lewa, Janet Mwanjala, the late Susan Mwandawiro, Rose Mwaghotti, Phoebe Kiteto and Rachael Nasongo. Devoted Aunty and friend to many.

She was a matriarch whose memory will be celebrated and remembered by her dear friends and her entire family, The family asks for your prayers during this time.

Beloved husband of Rachel Watati and loving father of Reinna Makena. He was first born son of the late Hellen Kanyua Mukuru and the late Jospeter Mukuru M’Birichi. Son-in-law of Irene and Sebastian Ngugi of Kamuguga, Kiambu. Sessarod was the brother of Casperin Kirimi and Ian Murithi.

Nephew of Prof. & Mrs Jotham Micheni of KeMU and KNH respectively; the late Francis Njeru; Catherine and Micheni Nthigai; Dorothy and Micheni Borana; Regina and Gitonga; Fridah Kagendo; Mr & Mrs Gitari; Mr & Mrs Mutegi; the late Bridgit; the late Hellen; Dr & Mrs Rugendo of KNH and Mr & Mrs Jack Kiungu.

He was brother-in-law of Dr. & Mrs. Paul N. Ngugi, Serah W Ngugi and Pauline N. Ngugi. Cousin of Linda, Mary, Jeniffer, Anthony, Gakii, Muteti, Kawira, Murithi, Mwenda, Mwende, Emily, Munene, Annestine and Maina, among many others.

Son of the late Peter David Githitu and Rachel Neil Githitu of Riruta Satellite. Loving husband of Zipporah Mwikali, father of Ryan Njania, Regina Njeri and Steven Mutua. Brother of Alex Kagai, Charles Kimare and Leonard Mbugua. Brother in law of Carol Kagai, Margaret Mbugua, Winnie Mutende, Florence Musangi, Stella Syonzi, Karanja Njenga, Kamau Nyagah and Manji Kabugi. He was the beloved uncle and godfather to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his residence in Kitengela and at his parent’s home in Riruta Satellite at 4pm for prayers and funeral arrangements.

The cortege leaves Montezuma Funeral Home on Friday 24th July 8aM for a church service and burial at his parent’s farm in Karatina village, Nyanduma location, Githunguri sub county, Kiambu County.

Brother-in-law of Penninah, the late Luka, Agness, Monicah, Nicasio, Alexander, Elias, Charity, Regina, Njuki and Nthusi.

The cortege leaves Kenol Montezuma – Monalisa Funeral Home on Friday 24th July, 2020 at 7:30 am for a funeral mass and thereafter burial at his home in Kune village Siakago, Mbeere North, Embu County.

It is God who gave us Peter and it is the same God who has taken him. Therefore, we do hereby accept God’s will and pray that Peter rests in eternal Peace.
