It is with profound sorrow that we announce the sudden death of Nelson Oriedo Andera (Mandela) formerly of Takataka Solutions Nairobi, that occurred on 29th June, 2020 after a fatal accident along Jogoo road.

Son of Fred Andera and Sellah Ambiyo Andera. Beloved fiancée to Emily Atieno, caring dad of Carden J. Ambiyo Andera and Angelique Tamara. Brother of Refa Andera, Diana Andera (USA) and Lydia Andera. Uncle of Jesse, Grace Maya, Terence, Naftali and Nuru. Cousin of Oscar, Ann, Livingstone, Andrew, Nelson, Refa, Shadrack, Caroline, Christopher, Beatrice, Lilian, William, Risper, Jayson, Reinhard, Jewel, Stella, among others. Nephew of Rev. Livingston, Frank Amalemba (USA), the late Andrew, the late Sieyo, Mary Sieyo, Ruth Oyugi, the late Ketry, Rose, Rodgers, Grace, David, Henry Elizabeth, Kiendi among others. Grandson of the late Risper and Nelson Oriedo of Wekhomo and Rasto and the late Risper Ochwacho. A loving colleague and a friend to many.

Friends and relatives are meeting daily at his parents’ home in Kaloleni Estate, Nairobi.

The cortege will leave City Mortuary on Friday 24th July 2020 at 6:00 a.m for a short service at Kaloleni Church. Burial will be held on Saturday, 25th July 2020 at his father’s farm in Emmunua Village, Ebusundi Sub location, Wekhomo Location, Vihiga County.

We as your family loved you, regarded you with honor but the Almighty God loved you most. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

Loving sister of Cyrus Mburu and Elizabeth Wanjiru. Sister-in-law of Charlene Kullu, Timothy Wambugu, Caroline Mugendi and Patrick Gichuki. Cousin, aunt and friend to many.

The cortege leaves Kenyatta National Hospital Funeral Home on Friday, 17th July 2020 at 10:00am for service and burial at Kamulu, Joska, Machakos County from 12:00pm.

Father of Edna Omburo – New Jersey, Esther Tuju – Kisumu, Gilbert Tuju -California and Felicity Tuju – New Jersey. Father in law of Dr. George Omburo and Antony Mbala. Grandfather of Stephanie Balidas, Chris Ochie, Derek Omburo, Andre Makori, George Junior, Osa Bazuaye and Sekani Marube.

Brother of the late Edward Tuju, the late Benter Akinyi, the late Peter Owino, John Collins Tuju (former NYS), the late Mary Aluoch, Hellen Auma, the late Barrack Otieno and the late Elkana Oguttu. Burial is for 18th July, 2020, at his home in Emukayi Village, Bushieni, Butere, at 1000hrs.

Daughter in-law of the late Pius Nzueni and the late Lydia Mulondu. Sister of the late Anna Mwethya, Elizabeth Mutete, Henry Mbithi, Katisya Nthenge among others. Sister in-law of the late Priscilla Isaac. Mother in-law of Jennifer Joshua (USA), Francisca Mwendwa, Dorcas Kimeu, Theresia Muema, George Masua, Benedict Itambo and the late David Kisolo . Grandmother of 32 grandchildren including Elizabeth Mwelu, Christine Masua, Scholar Kalekye, Sarah (USA), Stephen Paul (USA), Tom, Wairimu, Pius, Nathan (USA) among others. Great grandmother of 35 great grandchildren including Anthony Kyumu, Tina, Getrude, Kimeu among others. She was 89 years old.

The cortege leaves Lee Funeral Home Nairobi at 7:00am on Saturday 18/7/2020. Burial will be on the same day at her husband’s farm in Engashura, Nakuru near Heroes High School starting at 11:00am.
