It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we, the family of Eva Wangui Muchemi, announce the peaceful passing of our beloved after a long illness bravely borne. She was the Executive Director of the Kenya Diabetes Management & Information (DMI) Centre.

Eva Wangui Muchemi was the wife of Wanjuki Muchemi. Mother to the Late Muchemi Wanjuki Muchemi, Nyawira & Walter Kabuki, and Wambura & Kevin Mlawi. Daughter of the Late Hungura Kariuki & Mary Wambura Hungura. Daughter-in-law of the Late Elizaphan Muchemi & the Late Peris Nyawira Muchemi.

Sister-in-law to Moses & Beatrice Wagura, the Late Duncan & Mary Ndung’u, Cyrus & Damaris Wambugu, Virginia & the Late G.K. Mathenge, the Late Arthur & Nancy Mureithi, Lily & Linus Thirima, Jeff & Naomi Ngatunyi, and the Late John & Lilian Muchemi. Sister to Millicent & Robert Mwangi, Florence & Mwariri Gathenya, Grace & Henry Karinga, David & Mary Kariuki, the Late Jennifer Waruguru, Richard & Joyce Wanjohi, and Samuel Mugo.

Grandmother to Jonathan Ndung’u & Sebastian Wanjuki Kahuki and Zoe Susan Mlawi. Auntie, cousin and friend to many.

Family, relatives and friends are meeting for prayers and funeral arrangements at their Kitisuru home and Miagayuini, Muhoya’s location, Nyeri County.

A memorial service in remembrance of her life will be held at PCEA Loresho Community Church on Sunday, 21st June 2020 at 3.00pm.

The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home on Wednesday 24th June 2020 at 7am. The funeral service will be held at PCEA Miagayuini Church from 11.00am and interment thereafter at the family Tubania farm.

We regret to announce the death of Siphan Anton Ngigi of Murera Ruiru, on 14th June 2020. Born on September 6th 1943 in Muranga, to the late Zipporah Wanjira Macharia.

He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Wairimu Ngigi and children Eva Wanjira, Mercy Wanjiku Hoem, Ann Wambui Wallin, and Amos Ngure. Father-in-law of Arne, Marchus, Richard and Maryann. Grandfather of Amanda, Amalia, Mika Siphan, Noah and Siphan Ngigi.

He schooled in Murang’a and Makerere University. His early work life was at the Kenya National Archives and most recently Sigalagala Technical College before his retirement. Brother of Amos, Chege, Kimemia, Karuoya, Mwangi, Kahiga, Nduta the late Hazel Njeri and the late Virginia Wanjiku. Brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many.

He will be laid to rest in his home in Kairo Murang’a today Friday 19th, June 2020.

Acts 24: 15 “I have hope toward God… that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous”

He will be dearly missed!

Appreciation

We, the family of late Regina Ajiambo Ofulah and on behalf of the larger Noah and Okubo families, extend our heartfelt gratitude all friends and relatives, for the overwhelming support received upon her demise. Special thanks to those who have journeyed with our family since 2010, at the onset of beloved Regina’s ailment, all through her treatment of 10 years.

To name just but a few, we wish to sincerely thank The Chief of Kenya Defense Forces, The Service Commanders, PS Ministry of Works, DG NIS, Dr. Gladwell Kiarie of Nairobi Hospital who has been Regina’s primary doctor since then, Maj Gen (Dr) Ng’ang’a (Director Medical Service KDF), the late Prof. Manundu, Maj Gen Amogola and his wife Madam Grace Amogola & family.

In addition, we thank Prof. Otsyula, Dr. Parklea, Dr. Njiiru, Brig (Dr) King’ori, Dr. Abwao, Maj Joash Momanyi, Magaret Omukuba, WO2 (retired) Domitila Sambu, Brig (Rtd) Ofulah’s former colleagues at the Kenya Defence Forces – special mention of Col Malwei and family, Col Nyamao and family, and colleagues at the Kenya Airports Authority, Late Regina’s former colleagues at ABSA (formerly BBK) especially Rolina Makoo, Beatrice, Hilda, and Twili.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will, that we announce the transition to glory of Mr. Peter Mburu Kigira on Monday 15th June 2020 at his home in Githiga, Kiambu County.

Loving husband of the late Phoebe Nyawira Kigira, and caring father of Allen Peter Kigira, Annie Njoki Kinuthia (Britam Holdings Plc) and Kinuthia Mungai (Info Business Ltd / Plainsview Educational Point), Dr. Wambugu Kigira and Dr. Mary Madumadu-Kigira (Nairobi Outpatient Center) and the late Alice Wangeci Kigira. Loving grandfather of Ryan Mungai Kinuthia (formerly of St. Andrews School, Turi) Trudie Wamuhu Kinuthia (St. Andrews school, Turi) and Phoebe Nyawira Kigira (Noah’s Ark Kindergarten).

Son of the late Joseph Njoroge Kigira and the late Gladys Njoki Kigira. Son in-law of the late Solomon Wambugu and the late Alice Nyakinyua Wambugu. Brother of Peter Ngige Kigira, Fredrick Ng’ang’a Gichunji, John Gitau, the late Humphry Karanja, Francis (Drake) Kigira (Meru University). Catherine Wambui and the late Gladys Wambui Mwai.

Viewing of the body will take place at the Lee Funeral Home on Thursday 25th June 2020 from 7.00 a.m. The cortege will leave Lee Funeral Home at 8.00 a.m. for the funeral service at 10.00 a.m, at his home in Githiga, Githunguri, Kiambu County. Burial will take place soon after.

Strict adherence to all Ministry of Health directives relating to Covid-19 will be observed. Live streaming of the funeral service and burial will be made available.

Until her death, Pascaline was working with the Ministry of Lands and Physical Planning at the National Titling Centre, Ruaraka, Nairobi.

Beloved daughter of Francis Kyengo Kaloki and Christine Wayua Kyengo. Mother of Rachel Wayua, Grace Wandia and Hillary Muili. Sister of Martin Kaloki Kyengo (Housing And Urban Development), Rosemary Mutile Kyengo (Mua Girls), Geoffrey Mukwilu Kyengo and Stanlous Mutuku Kyengo(Immigration). Aunt of Collins Kyengo, Asher Kaloki and Baraka Mwema. Cousin of Caroline Mutile, George Metho, Anastacia Kaloki, Naomi Ndila Kavita, Rose Mutini, Bernard Kamia, Antony Kaloki, Charles Ngila, Mutuku Lazarus, Junior Charles, Rose Kathula and Abbigail Nthambi.

Cortege leaves Leemash Funeral Service at 8.30 a.m on Tuesday 23rd June, 2020 for burial at her father’s farm in Machakos County, Kathiani Sub County, Kwangondi-Kinyau village.

It is with humble acceptance of God’s will that we announce the Death of Nahashon Thuku Kabetu. The death occurred at Meridian Hospital on 13th June 2020 after a long illness.

Son of the late John Kabetu and Zipporah Njeri. Beloved husband of Lucy wangui. Doting father of Johnson Kabetu, Zipporah Njeri and Francis Warima. Son-in-law of the late Francis Warima and Janet Wangare. Father-in-law of Peter Mwangi and grandfather of Zayne Kariuki. Brother of Kepha Ngunjiri, James Maina, Peterson Njuguna, Jonathan Githongo, Jesse Gatonye, Moses Muchiri, Naftaly Muthui, Allan Wangai and Amos Karinga. Uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Due to the Covid- 19 pandemic, meetings are not being held. Contributions can be sent to the treasurer on 0724 276154.

The cortege leaves Umash Funeral Home on Saturday 20th June at 7.30 am for a funeral service and burial at the Family home in Kangema Division, Murang’a County. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a later date that will be communicated.

Son of the late James and the late mama Efalina Savasava. Husband of Betty Mideva and the late Gladys Vulifa. Son in law of the late mzee and mama Shem Masaya of Kedohi Village, Maragoli and the late Mr & Mrs Festus Kafuna of Emurembe village, Bunyore. Father of Meavelynne (KAA) and Fred Owuor (KQ), Christine (KRA), Juliet and Paul Adagala (Busia County), Derrick (KQ) and Rachel Bulimu, Nickson, Allan, Elvine, Priscah and Sheila. Grand father of Peter Thendu, Blessings and Beylah Onyango; Gail and Gabi Kisos; Brian, Edward, Favour and Cleaver Adagala; Dennis, Stacy, Bright and Bravian Bulimu; Kimberly Ruga, Viocent Vihenda and Chantelle Mideva.

Brother of the late Margaret Tweni, Beatrice Chahilu, Rose Amani, Tom Kesenwa, Mabel Kangashi, Joseph Asava, David Chagusia, Levy Amalemba and Judith Kisia. In-law the late Edmond Tweni, Benard Chahilu, Eric Amani, Jackson Kisanya, Christine Asava, Beatrice Kesenwa, Jane lsheminye, Linet Afandi, Jemima Musera, Elizabeth Chagusia, Christine Amalemba, Morris Ashono and the late Kaisha.

Uncle of the Kirimas, Bulimus, Mujeis, Twenis, Chahilus, Amanis, Kisanyas, lsheminyes, Olindos, Purity, Gloria, Eunice, Sue, Gilian among others. Great grandfather to Edward Ilahalwa. Besides his biological family, mzee embraced a huge number of friends of his children who established a father-child relationship with many, include Kabe, Esther, Doreen, Nancy, Gladys, Malcom, Rita, Caleb, Ken, Patrick among others.

Until his death, Mzee Ilahalwa was a long serving Elder and Treasurer of the Kitengela PAG Church. The cortege leaves the Lee Funeral Home on Friday, 19th June 2020 for burial at his home, Musunzu Village, Mautuma.

Sister of John Njeru, Sospeter Muturi, Henry Ngoci, Evans Nyaga, Margaret Mbucu, Abackson Nduma and Jenesuo Kariuki.
